LIFTOUT FORM GUIDE INDEX DUE TO ANY MEETING ADVERTISED IN NFG NOT MAKING OUR STRINGENT DEADLINES, PUNTERS CAN STILL OBTAIN THESE MEETINGS VIA FAX BY CONTACTING NGF’s PETER PEARSON ON (03) 93720677 WEDNESDAY FORM GUIDES INCLUDE: SATURDAY NIGHT’S final of the Group 1 Macro Meats Australian Stayers Cup to be run over 725 metres at The Meadows sees possibly the two favoured chances, Shimaguni and Thrilling Brat drawn in the wings. Shimaguni made it five from six on the track with a real hard-fought win in heat one when she scored in the Best Of Night 42.76 that was outside her PB of 42.41. Now in the care of Andrea Dailly, the black half-miler chased Miata home twice in Perth before a luckless fourth in The Zoom Top on this track, and again Miata was the winner. The daughter of Primo Uno and Messines will line up in box one here in an attempt to score her second Group win on the track, having previously taken out the AWM Distance Challenge. From her inside draw she’s primed to get the run of the race, giving her a great chance to take her prizemoney to well over $230,000 in the Sean Stanton and Tom Dailly with Shimaguni, who will try to keep her great form going at The Meadows half-mile trip by taking out the Macro Meats Superstayers final on Saturday night. $75,000 to the winner event. Kiwi stayer, Thrilling Brat looks perfectly boxed also, as he’ll exit box eight here in an attempt to atone for his two starts on the track, both seconds. His first run here was in The Zoom Top when he chased Miata home, whilst in his heat he went under by just a head to Shimaguni. He has a fast Wentworth Park win to his name, as well as great form in New Zealand, and he’ll be hoping to almost double his prizemoney if successful here. Trained by Karen Walsh, the son of Hallucinate and Thrilling Faith has won 19 of his 32 starts and is on track to score his biggest career win. Red Hot Andy, also a specialist at The Meadows, made it three wins in four goes over the 725 metres by finishing best to land heat two in the new PB time of 42.91. He wore the pink vest in a heat and drops to the less favourable draw of three here when attempting to tick-up his 17th career win at his 60th start. Trained by Wayne Vassallo, the son of Andy Palmer and Redburst usually gets back in his races and likes a bit of room. But he finishes strongly and will be doing his best work at the end for sure. Echelon is a top class chaser, but if there’s a worry it’s the fact that he’s only won once at the trip in five tries and that was in 42.52, with his other four starts being seconds. He was runner-up behind Red Hot Andy in the slower of the two heats; beaten three and a quarter lengths when not receiving the best of luck in transit. A winner of 14 of his 41 starts, the son of Mogambo and Off Springer is another who gets back and runs on his races; preferably out away from the inside. The Craig Treherne trained stayer is more than capable of winning if he can get a clear passage when making his run and is right in this race up to - Darryl Embling his neck.
