During his four-year career with the Hornets, Edwards averaged 11.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game…one of the best players in the program’s Div. I history (1991-pres.), Edwards ranks among the Hornet top nine Div. I career leaders in points (1,197), field goals (428), field goals attempted (1,144), threepointers (162), three-pointers attempted (506), free throws (179), free throws attempted (256), rebounds (398), assists (243), steals (123), games played (106), starts (73) and minutes (2,588)… his 1,197 points are the sixthbest mark in school history… played for the Harlem Globetrotters in 1997-98, becoming the only Sacramento State player to ever play for the Globetrotters…a two-time all-conference selection…averaged double-figure points each of his final three years.
Averaged 8.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game during his three-year career…was a second team allconference selection in 195859…during his tenure, the Hornets never finished worse than third place in the Far Western Conference, including a league championship in 1959 (the first conference title in school history)…the Hornets combined for a 21-9 record in conference during his three seasons with the team…helped the Hornets to the 1959 NCAA College Division Regionals, one of four times in school history the Hornets reached the NCAA Tournament (1959, 1962, 1970, 1988)…never lost to UC Davis during his career (7-0)…the Hornets won those seven games over the Aggies by an average of 13.4 points per game…shot 52.1 percent (73-140) from the field during his senior year.
Four-year starter at point guard and a two-time Big Sky all-conference selection, including first team and the league’s defensive player of the year during his senior season (2005-06)…Sacramento State’s all-time leader in games played (115), assists (501), steals (283) and steals per game (2.5)…among Big Sky Conference career leaders, he ranks first all-time in steals and seventh in assists… finished career with averages of 8.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.5 steals per game…scored 992 points, just eight shy of becoming the 10th player in school history to amass 1,000 points… never missed a game during his four-year career, and shot better than 80.0 percent from the free throw line during his tenure (.801, 269-for-336).. finished tied for ninth in the nation in 2004-05 in steals per game (2.9).
The greatest scorer in Sacramento State history, Livie averaged 27.8 points per game during his two seasons in the Green and Gold…that included 1,447 points over those two years…averaged 25.7 ppg in 1964-65, and 30.0 ppg in 1965-66…the only Hornet to ever average more than 22.0 points in a season, and he did it both years of his Hornet career… was a unanimous first team all-Far Western Conference selection both seasons… named honorable mention All-America in 1965, becoming one of two All-Americans in school history…as a senior, he scored a schoolrecord 51 points in a 114107 victory over San Francisco State…despite playing just two seasons, he ranks second in school history in field goals made (575) and free throws made (297), and fourth in points (1,447).
