Ladder Golf If you enjoy horseshoes, you will enjoy this new game that everybody is talking about. Ladder Golf is a ball-toss target game that can become very addictive. scoring, legal serve, forehand and backhand strokes. Intermediates will learn new serves, new shots and make game more reliable while learning strategies and having fun. Lessons will be offered in half hour sessions, and will be either one on one, or in a two person group. It’s suggested that people should take at least six lessons to benefit from course. Dance Ballroom Dance Lessons Ballroom Dance lessons with Bruce Gillooly, who has over 60 years of dance experience. Each month you will explore a different ballroom dance; the group decides which dance will be explored for the month. Ballroom dances includes: Waltz, Foxtrot, East and West Coast Swing, Salsa, Tango, Samba, Merengue, Zydeco, Shag, and Lindy Hop. Please register and purchase your ticket at the front desk before class. No partner required but is recommended. Page 33 Clogging What a great way to get in shape while having fun. This is a beginning class where you will learn basic clogging steps. No prior dance experience necessary. Clogging for Fun! Clogging is not just a plumbing problem! Clogging is an enjoyable dance/exercise for people of all ages. Cloggers range from ages 3 to 93 plus. Come and enjoy learning a true American dance that originated in the mountains of North Carolina. The Appalachian dance form is easy to learn and only has 8 movements. Basic clogging classes are 8 weeks in length. Cost will be $30 for the 8 weeks. Additionally, a FREE class will be conducted for those wanting to “test drive” before committing to the 8 weeks. Classes will start the following Thursday (class dates listed below). All interested participants must pay in full by Thursday, May 29. Prerequisite: Completion of the basic clogging class or prior clogging experience. Class is limited to 20 students and must have 5 enrolled to make. Dance for Joy Whether you are just beginning to focus on becoming healthier, or are looking for something new to add to your current fitness program, this class is perfect. It encourages participants to move within their own comfort level and to bring their energy and spirit to the steps. Based on the Nia Technique, the barefooted, grounded movements provide a whole body workout that is gentle on the joints.
