The tournament featured a number of skills contests, courtesy of many Chamber member businesses. Skills contests donors included longest drive sponsors Document Systems, Community Care Partners, Jimmy Twisdale of Vance County Farm Bureau Insurance and The Rogers Group. Closest to the pin contests were sponsored by Harris Incorporated of Henderson, PSNC Energy and Liberty Kennels. Longest putt contest was sponsored by Golden Skillet. Skills contest winners were: for longest drive Tripp Watkins, Brantley Pegram, Chris Cheever and Tripp Watkins; for closest to the pin Tim Moseley, Jimmy Robinson and Elmer Gravitt; for longest putt Elmer Gravitt. The hole-in-one sponsor for the thirteenth consecutive year was Charles Boyd Chevrolet-Cadillac-BuickGMC, Inc. Teams this year included BB&T, Maria Parham Medical Center, Kittrell Job Corps, CenturyLink, Home Credit Corporation, Walmart DC #6091, M.R. Handcrafted Homes, State Farm Agency Recruiting and Don Lorenzo’s host Business After Hours events Handcrafted Homes hosted a Business After Hours on June 2 at their location at 101 Eastern Minerals Road. A large crowd attended the event where guests were served homemade hors d’oeuvres and beverages. Tours were also given of three of the company’s various modular home models. On July 21, Don Lorenzo’s Mexican Restaurant and State Farm Agency Recruiting hosted a Business After Hours at Don
Lorenzo’s Restaurant located at 130 West Montgomery Street. This was a great networking event with a buffet of heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and many door prizes!
