Public Open Space Guidance Fields In Trust (FIT – formerly National Playing Fields Association, NPFA) have developed guidance over numerous years that most local authorities and developers use to allocate appropriate recreation space within new housing developments. Their guidance includes a variety of play space types described as LAP, LEAP or NEAP. Below is a snapshot of the FIT guidance, the following pages contain our design examples in a variety of styles and at all price points that meet this criteria.

MUGA - Bespoke Design HAGS manufacture the original ‘Arena’, a ‘Multi Use Games Area’ (MUGA). Fitness - Gym Stations Cardio
The HAGS Action Stations are a robust range of outdoor fitness equipment providing a cross-generational workout for adults. Each product is designed to replicate a gym activity, and these free-at-point-of-use facilities are highly popular with communities and Local Authorities alike. Next Steps The HAGS team can support each stage of the design, specification, build, hand-over and adoption process – taking the hassle completely out of your hands. 1.
Let HAGS know about your project at an early stage – our regional managers regularly meet with Local Authority Planning and Green Spaces teams, we can work with all parties to obtain approval and sign-off early on.
2. Call us to obtain the files for these example schemes, drop them into the plan drawings for your Planning Application. 3. If none of these examples suit then HAGS can create a bespoke layout design to suit the constraints of your site, in keeping with your setting and budget and meeting the specification required by the Local Authority. This service is free of charge. 4. We’ll work with you to achieve the best possible value, talk to us about fixed discounts and a preferred supplier or rebate agreement with your regional office. 5. Place you Purchase Order with us and once you hit your trigger point, let us take care of the construction of the play or sports area. We’ll arrange the RoSPA installation inspection and smooth the adoption handover from you to the Management Company or Local Authority.
