Our kids love parties and even if the party is for mom and dad to watch a big game, they love to feel a part of all of the excitement. Having them help with the food preparation is a great way to help them get involved. This Seven-Layer Bean Dip is a simple appetizer that your kids will have a blast helping to prepare. The Mexican dip is very easy to make, is fairly healthy, tastes great and looks nice in a party setting! Also the individual serving cups are great at helping to stop the “double dippers.”
Individual 7-layer Bean Dip • 15-ounce can refried beans • 16-ounce container sour cream • 16-ounce container guacamole
• 8 ounces salsa • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
• Shredded lettuce • Chopped tomato
1. Warm beans slightly in microwave until soft, not hot (about 30 seconds). Spread ¼ cup into the bottom of 8 clear plastic cups. 2. Spread ¼ cup each of sour cream and guacamole over beans. 3. Spoon 2 tablespoons salsa over guacamole. 4. Top with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. 5. Serve with tortilla chips.
