Encourage Parents to Get Involved with a Booth Just for Them! Family Meetings!

When families are involved, girls succeed! Have parents brainstorm ways to help their daughter. Initiate a Family Meeting that outlines her goals, requests support from each family member, and most importantly, THANKS each member for their support. This is a great opportunity for your Girls Scout to lead her very first team, her Family!

Workplace Sales

Remind parents of the importance of the girl being a part of the sale. Give parents examples of ways their Girl Scout might be able to ask permission from a business owner to come in and make a quick ‘sales pitch’ or have their daughter record a video or make a poster for parents to pass along to coworkers so they know her goals. When possible, have the Girl Scout deliver the cookies in person.

The Girls Scout Cookie Program “5 Skills For Girls” includes many tools for parents and Troop Leaders to help make the Cookie Sale a valuable learning experience for girls!

All girls who participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program are eligible to earn the annual Cookie Activity Pin. When they earn the pin, invite girls to share their accomplishments in each of the 5 Skills through the Girl Scout Cookie Program

The Cookie Activity Pin is available in August for purchase at your local store or through www.girlscoutshop.com. The pin is a different color every year.
