L U S T R A T I O N Purification rituals that date from early medieval times are the prominent theme that emerges from our male fashion editorial. The concept of the purification ritual is one of spiritual sacrifice, where all impurities, body and soul, become consecrated. Similar to the physical purification of a dead body prior to the burial, esoteric purification is the ritual washing and cleansing of the soul, its purging from all evil. We were inspired to create an unconventional, visual contrast between sportswear and tailoring paired with some of the most covetable accessories of the season. The collaboration of Rick Owens and Adidas is one of the greatest examples of successful fuse of sportswear and high fashion.
