And soon loug-coated elephants trudged wearily along; ferocious lions roared in their cages; and Little Mickey Mouse, reared l)ack in his cart, was followed 1)\- a float filled with old-fashioned athletes, which, in turn, was trailed 1)y a car literally loaded with gum-shoes. Exj)ert bicycle riders and western cowboys attracted much attention as they dashed down the street, h'ollowing close in their wake was the queen's wagon elaboratel}- decorated, but manned only l)y a pink ruffled dress stuffed into a shapely form with only a (piestion mark for a head.
