Here, some tips from Jake France and Richard Rolfe of Boys Fort. • A unique lamp can be a great addition to a room. Lamps, like art, speak to people. Everything should be on a dimmer switch. • Don’t feel stuck with the same white shade your lamp came with. Switch it up. A really good look is a black barrel shade with a silver or gold liner.
