During the 2010 season, West coached at Briarcrest Christian in Memphis where he played his prep football. West played at Memphis from 2006 to 2009 for his father and was a part of two bowl teams while seeing action in 17 career games. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Memphis in 2011.

WILLIAMS Graduate Assistant | 1st Season Southern Miss, 2009

Chad Williams is in his first season as a defensive graduate assistant for Rick Stockstill after spending the 2012 campaign on the staff at Jacksonville State. Williams was a three-year starter at Southern Miss where he learned under current Blue Raider defensive coordinator Tyrone Nix. Williams helped the Golden Eagles to the 1999 Conference USA Championship and also picked up a win over Colorado State in the Liberty Bowl. He was a four-year letterman at Southern Miss where he earned first team All-CUSA honors in 2000 and 2001. Williams served as team captain his senior year. Williams was drafted in the sixth round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens, where he spent four seasons. He then signed with the San Francisco 49ers as a free agent in 2006 before signing with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2007. Williams began his coaching career at Wenonah High School in 2007, where he handled the defensive line. He spent the 2011 season at Morehouse College overseeing the linebackers and special teams. Williams earned a B.S. degree in Sport Coaching Education from USM in 2009.
