Players

Left Tackle MIKE WILLIAMS (r-Senior) – Team leader with 36 career starts ... Is the most athletic lineman and has a good punch ... Very explosive and smart ... Size is his only drawback.

JASON REXROAD (Freshman) – A strong, hard working player with a bright future ... Needs to gain more knowledge of the offense. Right Tackle JADAREIUS HAMLIN (r-Sophomore) – A very athletic player who got valuable game experience last year ... Needs to keep improving knowledge of offense.

Headlines Key Losses: RT Mark Fisher Key Returnees: LT Mike Williams, LG Brandon McLeroy, C Alex Stuart, C Colin Boss, RG Preston Bailey Battle to Watch: The center and right tackle positions appear to be the closest race when camp opens in August. At center, both Alex Stuart and Colin Boss were injured in the spring and Jesse Grisham came out as the starter. Jadareius Hamlin earned the starting nod at right tackle but Stephens has a number of options with possibly Preston Bailey, Stuart, Isaiah Anderson, Judd Hunt or Jason Rexroad trying to make a move. Spring Standout: Mike Williams was the only starter at every spring practice and was clearly the best player. However, Isaiah Anderson was the groups most improved so keep an eye on this up-and-coming star from nearby Franklin, Tenn.

Coach Stephens on the offensive line

“If we can stay healthy, I think this group will be the deepest offensive line that I have had here at Middle Tennessee. We lost some experience with the graduation of Mark Fisher, but it is a very athletic and versatile group. We were without three starters in the spring but the young guys received a lot of quality reps which will only strengthen our depth. This is a smart, tough bunch of guys who I am very excited about in 2011.

JUDD HUNT (r-Freshman) – An athletic player who is JORDAN JOHNSON (r-Sophomore) – An athletic line- still learning ... Must develop better strength and underman with good height, excellent feet, and long arms ... standing of the offense. Returners Has a chance to be a really good player in the future ... No. Name Just needs to add weight. 73 Isaiah Anderson 79 Preston Bailey Left Guard 50 Colin Boss BRANDON MCLEROY (Senior) – A three-year starter *Lance Campbell who has played in 37 games ... Is very aggressive and 58 Jesse Grisham one of the leaders on offense ... Equally adept at run and 63 *Quinton Groves pass blocking ... Rates as one of the team’s top players. 61 Jadareius Hamlin 57 Judd Hunt ISAIAH ANDERSON (r-Freshman) – A hard working, 76 Jordan Johnson conscientious, and aggressive player ...
