Scooter/wheelchair charge points: For people that have a power chair or scooter and carry it with them within their vehicle a charging point is always handy simply plug your 3pin mains plug in to this and switch it on. This can be wired in 2 ways, Direct to battery but the customer must remember to switch this off. Or else they run the risk of running the vehicles battery flat. Alternately we can wire this via the vehicles ignition so whatever the scenario the chance of the battery running flat is impossible. Head rest DVD entertainment: Headrest DVD systems can be retro fitted to most modern day vehicles, Fabric matching is also available. Plus leathers can be customised to match. These units can come simply as standalone screens though to replacement headrests with built in DVD players or SD / Usb input. Daytime running lights: This option is now an industry standard item on all new vehicles produced within the European market from February 2011 and this will also be a requirement for trucks and buses from August 2011. As yet it is not a legal requirement to have them retro fitted to all other vehicles but if you would like the retro fit option there are numerous options available to you to not only enhance the look but also increase the safety on your vehicle. Additional leisure batteries and split charge systems: Additional batteries may be required when running equipment within a vehicle so as not to run the original vehicles battery flat during use. Depending on the draw and the amount of equipment required will determine the amount of batteries and power required. Split charge systems are used to allow the vehicles alternator to charge both batteries when one is full the other will then start charging this can be controlled via a dash mounted switch or an automatic split charge relay. Mains Hook Up: Consisting of an externally mounted socket either positioned into the bodywork of the vehicle mounted in a recessed housing which is cut in to the vehicles structure the housing is white as standard but can be colour coded to suit. Alternatively the hook up can be mounted elsewhere on the vehicle to suit the customer’s needs. Socket specification should be discussed prior to install. In turn this is connected to either internally mounted 3 pin sockets positioned throughout the vehicle to the customer’s specification. This system will come complete with a 25m cable to connect to the mains supply on site or location. Hook on door: This a very common modification were simply a small hook is positioned on the door to enable to wheelchair user the ability to reach there seat belt after driving into position in there drive from vehicle. We do not recommend simply screwing a self-tapping screw into the door. A suitable fixing should be achieved for this product to last the duration of vehicle lifetime. 12v/24v hard-wire installations: In some cases clients may have their own portable equipment which they wish to integrate into their vehicle I.E Portable sat Navs, speed camera detectors etc. We can offer what we call a hard wire service this will in turn hide most cables and connections tidying up your dashboard. Voltage droppers: If you have a 24volt vehicle and are looking to install 12v products then we can offer a solution to the power issues voltage droppers are available in a variety y of sizes depending on the item or items you are looking to run. Please ask for further details.
Vehicle tracking / Fleet management: There are 2 main types of vehicle tracking available the first being security and what some insurance companies will classify at CAT 5. These devices are generally motion activated in the event that your vehicle is moved or stolen some will have a key card which needs to be with you at all times when driving the vehicle. Option 2: Is the fleet management range this enables the office or fleet department to monitor the location, speed, fuel economy etc. These devices are available in many different varieties with or without subscription. Power inverter supply and installation: Depending on the item you are looking to run or the amount of power required will determine the cost and Specification needed. If it’s simply charging a small device then a basic inverter might be the solution to your needs.If you’re looking to run items such as medical equipment or heavy duty power tools Please ask for further details.

Mains Power engine preheat system. This system is a plug in system designed to preheat the engine prior to start this in turn will enable the vehicle to have less engine wear during cold starts but b also the heaters will have instant heat the moment the key is turned. I.E. if you wish to control your device from the vehicle head unit then this is possible but product dependant. Costs are likely to range between £200.00 & £400.00 + vat. If you are looking to simply transfer the audio and control the track selection from the device then This can be a more cost effective option but not always as user friendly. Driver’s Door armrest Adjustable: This modification is as per the above specification but the modification will also include and adjustable mount this mount may have a height adjustable fixture. Protex puncture protection: Protex is a liquid solution which the quantity applied is determined by the tyre size and pressure. The liquid puncture prevention stays as a liquid until such a time that a puncture should occur as long as the puncture occurs on the tyre tread pattern. The object should be removed and the tyre rotated the solution will activate when it comes into contact to the air outside this hole will be sealed and is good for the life of the tyre. If tyre side walls are damaged then the tyre should be replaced and Protex reapplied at your local agent. Guide price installed £75.00 motability stage 2 costing. Guide RRP £100.00 - £200.00 + vat
Fire Trace: This fire extinguisher system is piped throughout locations within the vehicle including the engine bay the average length of a fire trace pipe is TBC
This system is a pressurised extinguisher system which is activated if there is fire within the vehicle. Guide Costing to supply and install a fire trace unit with dash mounted gauge. £
Driver’s Door Armrest: To design and manufacture fixed armrest in a position to suit the client’s requirements (Non-Adjustable). These items are individual to the customer and the exact costs can only be determined once positioning and spec have been confirmed. Driver alloy foot plates: (Transporter/Caravelle T5 Low Floor). This is an optional extra to the GM drive-from series The Colorado and Nevada. These are a custom made polished heel plates for driver or passenger use within these vehicles while driving for the standard position the driver or passenger may require addition foot/heel support. Total cost supplied and installed £350.00 + vat. Photos to follow……………..
Wooden removable footplates: These 1st generation removable footplates for the drive-from series. Some clients prefer the more classic approach to this modification these are shaped to the contour of the low floor within the driver or passenger foot well. D-ring installation: D-rings can be used for a variety of functions. More simply they are designed to secure items of load or luggage in place when used in conjunction with a tie downs or straps. These can be mounted in a variety of places throughout the vehicle. When installing d-rings additional strength may be required to be installed behind the vehicle panelling. This may mean welding and fabrication in order to achieve a suitable fixing. Costs can be only be determined once vehicle and client have agreed positioning’s. Guide cost for this modification £50.00 - £150.00
Grab Handle installation: Grab handles are designed to be located in a variety of places around the vehicle they can be used to aid entry or exit of the vehicle. Or even to help gain a correct position or provide support for passengers while in transit. In some instances additional strength may need to be applied to the mounting location. Cost can vary depending on exact positioning’s. Guide costing per Grab handle £100.00-£200.00 + vat.
Push Button Start (Drop in Key): This consists of ignition barrel to be left in place. Key insertion will disable vehicle immobiliser. Ignition switch and push start switch to be located where applicable for customer use. Total Cost £750.00 + vat
Push Button Start with reposition of vehicle immobiliser receiver: Works carried out as above, but to also include disablement of vehicle steering lock and reposition of vehicle ignition barrel to a suitable location to suit customers requirements. £1000.00 + vat Photo`s to follow………
