Ar t book by Gleisson Cipriano

“It is clear this is no ordinary wood. You feel oppressed the moment you enter, not because the wood seems deadly – in fact, it seems ever so alive. The trees are monumental, creating webs and paths in their branches. Some flower, some bear fruit. You wonder if any of it can be eaten – or used as a weapon. There is water, undergrowth, mushrooms, mosses, and inexplicable mounds. Something glows here and there. Suddenly, the earth rumbles. You take shelter in the lee of a great fallen wood, and the trees rise and fall around you. But you realize, they are not falling down. They are shooting straight up and down into the earth, like pegs. When they come to rest again, the forest is still lush and thick but the trees, branches and paths have changed, revealing an all new passage. Look, something is back there. What is it? Can you get in and out before the dancing wood obscures your path – or can you discern a way to navigate, master, defeat or even reason with the wood? You wonder what fantastic people or things could make their home here. Is someone or something controlling the wood?”
