Volunteers will be accepted on a first-come firstserved basis, so don’t wait to sign up to help build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place! voluntEEr oPPortunitiES in ProGramS progrAM role Model Program Role Models facilitate a program in their area of expertise, such as the arts, environment, dance, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), nutrition, starting a business, or other areas. If you have an idea for a workshop for a specific age level between K and 12, please contact us at girlprogram@gsep.org with your idea! progrAM AssistAnt Program Assistants support the Program Role Model during a program and assist with supervising the girls at the event. CounCil rep A Council Rep serves as the liaison between Girl Scouts of Eastern PA and the organization hosting an event. The Council Rep attends the program and is responsible for oversight of the event. This includes: registering and supervising girls and adults at the program, acting as the point person between the hosting organization and GSEP, ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed, handling any emergencies, and collecting Program Evaluations at the end. first Aider The First Aider is responsible for monitoring the health and safety of everyone who attends a large scale event. First Aiders administer first aid as needed, maintain accurate health logs, and must be trained as a Level I or II First Aider, depending on the event. Contact volunteer@gsep.org for training information. progrAM prep AssistAnt Program Prep Assistants work in the Valley Forge office preparing materials, supplies, name tags, etc. at least two weeks before a program. Availability during the work week is preferred.
