eauty is all about the jewels of the earth this season with amethysts, jades, and rich garnets adding mystery and intrigue. Eye shadows with rich pearlized finishes bring out these earthy jewel tones. Crushed citrine is a fun favorite; it sparkles like gold dust and is perfect to bring out the glimmer in eyes. Sweep deep azurite blues, tiger-eye browns or any color that stirs your soul over the lid. Outline the eyes in a bold line that’s blended on top and bottom. If your lid color is neutral, choose a jewel tone for the liner. Have fun with it! ow do we hear our inner voice over all the mind chatter? Meditation is a great tool that can help us hear our own inner wisdom and bring us closer to the person we want to become. Meditation can be done anywhere. Start by inhaling to the count of 5, and exhaling to the count of 5. The counting breath distracts and focuses the mind, and can be used in a repeated pattern. Try it also to help slow your heart rate from exercise. The goal of meditation is to acquire stillness, not silence. So if thoughts come up (and they will), acknowledge their presence and let them go peacefully, instead of trying to fight them off. Now repeat a positive affirmation, such as “I am confident”. Even if you’re not feeling it, keep saying it over and over, and eventually it will become true. Meditation helps us to acquire a deep acceptance of

ourselves, and helps us become more aware of our thoughts and feelings. This awareness can help move us through blocks, fears and low self-esteem.
