A general surgeon, Dr. Mahoney has joined Western Plains Surgical Associates. Dr. Mahoney is a graduate of the University of South Dakota School Patricia Mahoney, MD of Medicine in General Surgeon Vermillion, SD. She completed her internship in general surgery at Fairview Health System in Cleveland, OH, and her residency in general surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. Dr. Mahoney will specialize in breast surgery, performing biopsy and ultrasound of the breast in her office. In addition, she specializes in advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures, such as upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, laparoscopic hernia repairs and laparoscopic bowel resections.
