Black Polypropylene Threaded Fittings (Schedule 80) pressure gas gathering systems. With a maximum service temperature of 180°F, PP has proved to be an excellent material for laboratory and industrial drainage where mixtures of acids, bases and solvents are involved. All polyolefins are severely degraded by ultraviolet (UV) radiation and are not recommended for application involving direct sunlight. Polypropylene is joined by the thermo-seal fusion process, threading or flanging.
