325 Series L-Model Line Regulators & OPDs, #2 Inlet Regulators
Robertshaw’s 41-400 Series Norton Hot Surface Ignitors deliver dependable ignition heating systems of every description. From furnaces and boilers to rooftop heaters, infrared burners, unit heaters, water heaters and many other types of HVAC equipment. The 41-400 Series Hot Surface Ignitors are made of high-purity recrystallized silicon carbide (Crystar™) which combines physical and thermal strength with stable electrical properties. The 41-400 Series are designed to reach ignition temperature(s) within 17 seconds. They have 8-gauge nickel chrome lead wires embedded and metalized in place for maximum holding strength and electrical conductivity. The lead wires are also enclosed with a special high-temperature fiberglass insulation providing total electrical protection.
Features: • CSA certified for up to 5-psi inlet pressure. • Over-pressure protection device (OPD) to limit downstream pressure in case of regulator failure. • Maxitrol OPD approved and tested with the regulator. • Regulators or OPD’s can be ordered as separate items — or as a factory assembled unit. • Self-aligning valve with lever action for dead end regulator lockup. • Optional vent limiter eliminates the need to run vent piping to an outside area. Benefits: • Meets new ANSI standard Z21-80 for line pressure regulators — for use on piping systems such as CSST or semi-rigid copper tubing up to 5-psi. • OPD provides required downstream over-pressure protection for supply pressures in excess of 2-psi. • Pounds to inches regulator provides precise control from pilot flows to full regulator capacity. • Meets many utility specifications.

The Mercury Flame Sensor is a mechanical device that provides the existence of an acceptable pilot flame. When the bulb is heated by a pilot flame, the mercury is vaporized, causing pressure in the capillary and diaphragm, causing the snap-switch to open one set of contacts, and close a second set.
