Visit participants agreed that the mission of the Centre – raising curiosity, supporting independent discovering of the world and learning – is successfully accomplished at the unique venue. Copernicus Science Centre is situated next to the University Library, so study visit participants also strolled in the roof garden of the library. It is worth mentioning that the library roof garden is one of the largest and most beautiful roof gardens in Europe. It covers an area of more than 1ha. From the little bridges and viewing deck of the roof garden, our guests admired the panorama of Warsaw featuring the Świętokrzyski Bridge and the Vistula River.
Summary of the Study Visit The study visit served as an excellent opportunity to present actions taken in Poland to raise the quality of vocational education and training. At the same time, visit participants had time to exchange experiences and become acquainted with examples of cooperation between VET and HEIs and employers in all countries from which visit participants originated. Group members exchanged opinions and examined from many different angles questions relating to vocational education and training. They learnt about measures taken at both central and local level in Warsaw, which were presented not only by educational institutions, but also by employers themselves.
