BETSY MOSHER DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS/ SWA
Betsy Mosher is entering her eighth year at Fresno State and second as Deputy Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator after serving for the previous six years as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Administration and Program Integrity. She was named NACWAA’s 2012 Division I Football Bowl Subdivision Administrator of the Year. Mosher has formal oversight of all sport supervisors, supervisory capacity regarding student-athlete welfare issues, and is formally defined as the department’s top administrator in the absence of the Director of Athletics. During her tenure at Fresno State, Mosher’s guidance has been a key component in the athletics department’s unprecedented achievement by the student-athlete community in the areas of academic development , NCAA compliance, gender equity, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and student-athlete services. Mosher has helped guide the Bulldogs to significant improvements in the department’s Academic Progress Rate, equity in participation and financial aid and student-athlete welfare initiatives. Mosher has established herself as a national leader in fostering an elite and equitable student-athlete experience. She also plays a critical role in representing the institution at the conference level and oversaw the Bulldogs’ transition to the Mountain West Conference. Mosher came to Fresno State after spending three years (200205) as the Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Administration and Compliance Services at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

At UMass, she was a member of the athletics department senior management team and was responsible for the formulation of the department’s strategic plan. Assisting with a campus response to a second round NCAA self study, Mosher oversaw the department’s compliance program, including the formulation of a systems manual and an upgrade of the recruitment monitoring system. Additionally, Mosher oversaw the admission process for student-athletes as well as served as a department liaison for personnel actions during a six month transition period. Mosher, who supervised women’s tennis, baseball and cross country and track and field
Prior to UMass, Mosher spent six years (1996-2002) as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Administration and Compliance/SWA at Arizona State University. A member of ASU’s athletic senior management team, she oversaw the school’s compliance, academic and student services as well as the personnel areas. She also supervised the sports of volleyball, softball, soccer and wrestling while working closely with the women’s basketball program. Mosher served as a liaison to Arizona State’s general counsel, the school’s Intercollegiate Athletics Board, the Pacific-10 Conference and the NCAA. Representing the Sun Devils on numerous Pac-10 and NCAA committees, she was the 19992000 vice president of the Pac-10 council and former NCAA softball committee member. Mosher also assisted with the second round certification process at ASU and served as the OCR liaison. Prior to Arizona State, Mosher spent seven years (1989-96) at Northwestern. With five years as an assistant athletics director and two as an associate athletics director for intercollegiate services, she also served as the department’s SWA. Her primary duties for the Wildcats included oversight of compliance, academic services and athletics admissions as well as supervision of the baseball, women’s basketball, tennis and swimming programs. She was chair of the Big 10 Women’s Administrator’s Group and the Conference’s Rules and Legislation Committee. Prior to Northwestern, Mosher was a legislative assistant at the Big Ten Conference office (1988-89) and also served as an NCAA compliance representative (1986-88). Prior to her move into administration, Mosher was the head women’s basketball and softball coach at California State (Pa.) from 1980-85 and began her collegiate athletics career as the women’s basketball coach at WisconsinWhitewater (1977-79). Receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Illinois State in 1972, a Master of Arts degree in Physical Education from Northern Colorado in 1976, and a Director’s Degree from Indiana University (1986), Mosher also was selected to attend the NACWAA Institute for Athletics Executive in the summer of 2002. Mosher is a current member of NACDA and NACWAA.

SENIOR ASSOCIATE A.D./ EXTERNAL RELATIONS Paul Ladwig is in his eighth year at Fresno State and second as the Senior Associate Athletics for External Relations after serving for the previous six years as the Associate Athletics Director over External Relations and Broadcasting. Ladwig joined the Bulldog the family
in September 2005. In addition to serving as the department’s primary spokesperson with oversight of advertising, communications, marketing, merchandising, licensing, ticket sales, video services and web operations,
From Network Television in Los Angeles to the slopes of the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan to documentary work in Southeast Asia, his departments have grewn considerably under Ladwig’s direction.

Ladwig has also assumed a primary leadership role in the Bulldog Foundation. He has been instrumental in the cultivation of philanthropic giving to Fresno State Athletics and student-athlete scholarships. During his tenure, Ladwig has led multiple reorganizations to allow for the integration and merging of all external communication and outreach under his direction. These measures have fostered more consistent processes that help promote and enhance Fresno State Athletics on a daily basis. He has built with stronger media partnerships and spearheaded the addition of a new videoboard at Bulldog Stadium and creation of environmentally-conscious virtual team guides. Ladwig is also a leader in developing attractive value oriented experiences for fans. A strong advocate of the importance of social media (and extremely active on Twitter @ PaulLadwig), he has also increased the exposure of Fresno State Athletics through the creation of the Bulldog Sports Network, the Bulldog Insider (a weekly television show dedicated solely to coverage of Bulldog Athletics) and finding fresh ways to tell Fresno State stories through new and existing media partnerships. His vision continues to bring fans superior story-telling that incorporate the latest technologies. Collaborating with media rights holder as the department’s liaison to Learfield Sports’ Bulldog Sports Properties, new and additional programming for radio and television were developed. Ladwig led the search for the addition of a living four-legged mascot to the Bulldog family, Victor E. Bulldog. People around the world curious about the Bulldogs will continue to log onto a constantly updating Gobulldogs.com website with expanded content, video and increased participatory site interaction. Fresno State Athletics Communications took the lead nationally in developing a paperless media guide in 2009. Environmental awareness, cost containment, and the ability to provide instant information to the media are several factors in the implementation of this paperless delivery system. With a vast and varied career, Ladwig came to Fresno State after serving as the Assistant Athletics Director for Creative Services at Ohio University. At Ohio University, he was charged with ensuring an effective, consistent and progressive approach from game-day activities to marketing to image enhancement. Ohio saw a record-breaking sellout crowd at Peden Stadium when the Bobcats defeated Pittsburgh on ESPN in their 2005 home opener. Innovative, Ladwig was instrumental in creating the Ohio Sports Network, the refinement of Ohio University’s web presence and the production of programming for public television.

ASSOCIATE A.D./ FACILITIES & OPERATIONS
John J. Kriebs is in his 12th year at Fresno State, serving as associate athletics director for facilities and operations. Kriebs oversees Fresno State’s internal operations, including events, facilities, information technology, equipment, department fleet and serves as the sport supervisor for multiple teams. Kriebs is responsible for NCAA and WAC tournament bidding and management. He successfully brought the 2004 WAC basketball and three NCAA women’s basketball championships, including two Regionals in 2007 and 2012. He serves as the liaison for campus planning, parking, kinesiology and the concession operations. During his tenure, he spearheaded Fresno State’s transition into the $103 million Save Mart Center, coordinating construction and facility projects including the locker rooms, equipment and training rooms and the Bulldog Shop. Recently, he has overseen the construction of a state-of-the-art aquatics venue, lacrosse and soccer field, softball indoor batting cages and the planning for a new sports medicine center. Kriebs came to Fresno State after serving as an assistant athletics director at Southwest Missouri State from 1994-99. While there, he oversaw nine Olympic sports as well as budgeting, personnel and scheduling. Prior to his position at SMS, Kriebs was the Bears’ wrestling head coach from 1989-94. He was highly successful in that capacity, earning Midwest Regional Coach of the Year honors in 1994 and guiding the program’s first ever Division I All-American in any sport. In all, he coached 12 NCAA qualifiers and broke 15 school records. Kriebs’ coaching career began at the University of Northern Iowa, where he served as an assistant from 1984-89 and helped guide the Panthers to five top 10 finishes. The Dubuque, Iowa, native is a 1984 graduate of Northern Iowa, where he was a two-time AllAmerican wrestler. As a senior, he was the nation’s No. 1 ranked heavyweight. He qualified for the NCAA’s all four years and was picked to wrestle in the prestigious All-Star Wrestling Showcase. Kriebs has a wife, Geri, a daughter, Jordan, and a son, Jack.

STEVE ROBERTELLO ASSOCIATE A.D./ INTERCOLLEGIATE SERVICES
Steve Robertello joined the Fresno State Department of Athletics in December 2012 as the Associate Athletics Director of Intercollegiate Services. “We are fortunate to have Steve join the Bulldog family in this significant leadership role,” said Boeh on Robertello’s hiring. “His numerous years of exceptional experience at the Division I FBS level, combined with his demonstrated firm conviction that student-athlete welfare and “doing things the right way” are paramount, make him an ideal fit for Fresno State Athletics. The entire Bulldog community will benefit greatly from Steve’s guidance, insight and passion for intercollegiate athletics.” Robertello, a graduate of West Virginia University, will oversee the branches of compliance, student-athlete services, sports medicine and strength and conditioning. For the past 10 years, Robertello has worked at Washington State University. Most recently he served as the Associate Director of Athletics/ Compliance in Pullman where he directed the dayto-day operations of the WSU Athletics Compliance Office. Robertello served as a member of the WSU Athletics Department Executive Staff, as well as the Athletics Department liaison to the WSU Admissions Office. At the conference level, Robertello served on the Pac-12 Conference Legislative Committee and Recruiting Task Force. For the NCAA, he served on the Amateurism Fact-Finding Committee as a member (2008-12) and committee chair (201012) and was the NCAA Site Coordinator for the 2005 NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships first and second rounds. Prior to WSU, Robertello spent two and a half years as a Compliance Coordinator at Arizona State University, two years as an Athletics Compliance Office Assistant, and Assistant Director of Compliance at Villanova University and one year as a Athletic Compliance Office Graduate Assistant at West Virginia University. Robertello graduated from West Virginia with a Master’s of Science in Sport Management and Bachelor of Science.
RYAN REGGIANI ASSISTANT A.D./ EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Ryan Reggiani is in his fourth year at Fresno State and second as the Assistant Athletics Director for External Relations, managing the dayto-day functions of communications, marketing and video production services. Reggiani is a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Fresno State and has been the chair for several search committees. Reggiani manages media contracts, and serves as a liaison to Bulldog Sports Properties, an entity of Learfield Sports, and Legends Sales & Marketing. In the summer of 2012, Reggiani oversaw the website redesign and launch of gobulldogs.com, working with CBS College Sports, designing a user friendly website, with the latest social media aspects built in to give the best fan experience when visiting. While social media has taken off while Reggiani has been at Fresno State, the Athletics department’s Facebook page has tripled in likes and its Twitter handle has doubled in followers. The department’s focus from the external side has been focused on building a social media platform to engage fans of Fresno State at every level. With significant experience and strong ties to the San Joaquin Valley, he has covered high-profile colleges in some of the nation’s top media markets and placed an emphasis on maximizing new and existing revenue streams, social media platforms while providing engaging content with innovative technology. Prior to the 2011 football season, Reggiani led the marketing and ticket sales effort of the Battle of the Bay, featuring Fresno State football versus California at Candlestick Park. The thirdparty game provided a significant boost to the department’s budget, as over 14,000 tickets were sold through Fresno State and over 20,000 fans showed up to the neutral site game in San Francisco. In the spring of 2012, Reggiani was the Media Coordinator for the Women’s Basketball NCAA Regional hosted at the Save Mart Center in Fresno. Reggiani has served as the lead marketing coordinator for the Bulldog football program for the past three seasons, after three and a half years as an Assistant Media Relations Director with the University of Hawai’i Athletics Department. While at UH, Reggiani developed and managed the communications strategy for their sports teams. Reggiani received his master’s degree in sports administration from Saint Mary’s in 2005 and bachelor’s degree in mass communication and journalism from California State University, Fresno in 2001.

With an extensive background that includes prominent leadership positions at three NCAA Division I institutions as well as with the Big Ten Office and the NCAA, Mosher’s duties at Fresno State include the supervision of five Bulldogs’ athletics programs (baseball, men’s and women’s tennis and men’s and women’s basketball) as well as oversight of the department’s NCAA and Western Athletic Conference compliance programs, student-athlete services, the athletic training and the strength and conditioning departments. Mosher will serve as the SWA for conference and NCAA representation.
