WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO LAUNCH TUTU & FRU? L: Initially, it was Vasia’s obsession for styled photo shoots, and my frustration at not having enough spotlight on Vancouver’s talented vendors. V: Vancouver-centric wedding inspiration was definitely missing in the blog world. We wanted to provide brides with a resource to find local talent and see what amazing things the Vancouver wedding industry is capable of; there are hundreds of incredible local wedding vendors that are hidden gems! We were also determined not to limit the blog to a specific trend in the industry; there are gorgeous weddings created from a variety of different styles and budgets and we want to showcase as many of them as we can. We saw that a lot of wedding blogs were catered towards a specific bride, like the "luxury" bride or the "vintage" bride. But if you don't have a huge budget and hate vintage styling, what do you do?

HOW DO YOU ENVISION THE SITE DEVELOPING IN 2013 AND IN THE FUTURE? LJ: I see the site being the wedding source for our Vancouver brides and THE site for our local vendors to submit to. J: We are nearing our one-year anniversary and as we gain more exposure, we’re becoming a more valuable tool for Western framework
