Tours & Visits Fun Fridays Join the Fun Fridays group to explore entertaining and educational destinations around the Fox Valley and beyond. This season, travel to some new suggested destinations and other long-time favorites. Most trips are held on the fourth Friday of each month. In the event of bad weather, everyone will be contacted to cancel. Register for each program separately. Lunch will be part of each trip, but participants will pay separately. (JHP) (MG)
Migrate to see the Eagles
Fun Fridays Holiday Potluck and Owl Program
Join us as we migrate to the Mississippi River to do some eagle watching. Lunch will be at Jumers Casino. Have time to do some gambling at Jumers before we go to see the eagles. Please note the early departure and late return times and make sure to have your driver’s license or state ID with you. Cost includes Jumers buffet, gaming, motor coach transportation and eagle viewing. (JHP) (MG)
Join us for our annual Fun Fridays potluck as we celebrate the holidays. We will have a presentation by the Willowbrook Wildlife Center on owls, and they will bring some of these magnificent creatures with them for the program at 12:30 p.m. In the spirit of the season, we will have a wish list of items Willowbrook needs; if you would like to bring any donations to the potluck, it would be greatly appreciated. We will also ask for suggestions for future Fun Friday trips and have some raffles. Please bring a dish to pass of your choosing. (JHP)

Lizzadro Museum Visit the Lizzadro Muesum of Lapidary Art and see more than 200 pieces of jade and other hard stone carvings from around the world, featuring several internationally famous pieces and many other examples of lapidary art. Lunch will follow at a local restaurant. (JHP) (MG) Age

Trip Information and Reminders • All tours and visits listed require a good amount of walking. Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes and be prepared for frequent walking throughout the day’s activities. • Plan to arrive for all trips at least 15 minutes before departure times. The bus leaves promptly at the scheduled time. • Trip return times are approximate; traffic delays and bad weather can add travel time to a trip. • Call 630-859-8606 for cancellations. Refunds (minus a $5 cancellation fee) will be given if the trip seat can be filled or show ticket can be sold. • Call two weeks before a trip for special accommodation requests such as wheelchairs or diet restrictions. • Due to safety concerns for all passengers and visibility issues for the bus driver, the park district will only be able to transport flat-folding walkers when traveling on the small FVPD bus.
