Years The Friendly Center Club meets at noon on Thursdays all year long at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave. in Aurora. The club is for all active adults 55 and better. Anyone may visit twice as a guest, and the third time may become a member. Everyone must register in advance for luncheons. Members pay $2 dues each week. The club plans numerous activities every month, such as birthday parties, bingo, luncheons, holiday and theme parties and guest speakers. For more information, call Jennifer Huber at 630-859-8606. Originated in 1951, the Friendly Center Club was the vision of John A. Lippold, who felt a club for ages 55 and better was needed. Today the club includes more than 250 members who meet at the Prisco Community Center. The club officially turned 60 years old in November of 2011.

Golden Foxes Walking Club Spring Schedule The club meets and walks at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. If the weather is too cold or rainy, then the group walks inside at Prisco. Everyone walks on their own schedule and tracks their own hours for a contest. Call Jennifer at 630859-8606 for information. (JHP)
