Fountain Valley’s membership in Round Square offers opportunities for exciting exchanges with schools around the world. FVS students have participated in weeks-long exchanges in South Africa, Australia, Peru and Colombia. In turn, our community welcomes students from these countries who enrich our global program and forge friendships and connections that last well beyond Fountain Valley.

You can distinguish yourself by becoming a Global Scholar and diving deep into a global issue you are passionate about. Through a curriculum and set of experiences that include travel and community service, the two-year GSD program culminates in a capstone project. You will gain a rich understanding of your global topic by conducting primary research and deep investigation. Students who earn a Global Scholar Diploma have gained the knowledge, skills and ability to grasp the nature of global interdependence and pursue education in the international arena. Many FVS Global Scholars have continued with their topic in their college studies!

You’ll be calling it “my Colorado” before too long. Pikes Peak is front and center in the vista from campus, a daily reminder that adventure is yours for the taking. Colorado’s generous landscape offers endless outdoor opportunities.

Starting freshman year, you will begin exploring how to find the right college that is the best fit for you. Your college counselor builds a relationship with you, gets to know you, and guides you through the process. They help you gain a strong understanding of your strengths, interests and values so you will make sound decisions in finding the best college fit.

Live Like Family

Make yourself at home! The beautiful adobe houses host small groups of just 16-20 students along with faculty families. With communal kitchens and common rooms, fireplaces and patios, your residence house quickly becomes a warm and welcoming home. It’s your place to kick back, study, catch up with friends, watch a movie, play a game or make a snack under the guidance of caring house directors who more likely than not have young children and a dog!

Express Yourself! The arts have held a very special place at Fountain Valley School since its founding in 1930. You’ll find and hone your creative potential in studio arts, theater, music, photography and filmmaking taught by accomplished and inspiring arts faculty.


The FVS Mountain Campus Just two hours away and at the foot of the majestic Collegiate Peaks, the Mountain Campus is a learning landscape and lodge in a spectacular setting that is built for camaraderie and fun. You’ll head there for seminars, class retreats, ski weekends, outdoor-ed outings and more.
