Car burglars busted by Fort Bend Deputies By LeaAnne Klentzman Three car burglars were busted on Bellaire Blvd., inside Harris County, by Fort Bend deputies last week. Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel said, “An eyewitness helped Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrest three suspects for burglarizing a vehicle.” He said on Tuesday, October 2, about 5:20 p.m. deputies were called to a Kids R Kids facility in the 17300 block of Bellaire Boulevard regarding the burglary of a motor vehicle. When deputies arrived they met with the victim who said someone had shattered the front passenger window of her vehicle and had taken her purse, wallet and iPad. Haenel said, “A witness gave a description of the perpetrators’ vehicle and the number on a paper license plate.” Haenel said, “Deputies spotted the vehicle at a location

Between the time of the burglary and their arrest, the suspects had stopped at a fast food restaurant and charged the meal on a stolen credit card.” Unfortunately, it appears that the arrest was made well into Harris County’s jurisdiction without the assistance of that governing agency and no exigent circumstances. Along with that victim’s property, deputies also found property stolen from two other victims. The three arrested have been identified as Carter Wells, 44, Justin Dugar, 23, and Kendall Ramsey, 18, all of Houston. Haenel said they have been charged with Burglary of a Vehicle and Fraud. Wells’ bond was $2,000 for the burglary and $4,000 for the credit card abuse charge. Dugar and Ramsey both had bonds of $1,000 and $3,000. All were booked into the Fort Bend County jail.
