The Sugar Creek Garden Club is again celebrating the season with their annual Friendship Luncheon and silent auction. This annual fund-raising event is set for Saturday, February 1, 10:30 a.m., and will be held at the Sugar Creek Country Club with proceeds going to the many projects that the garden club supports. Among these are the Fort Bend Women's Center. the Mamie George Library, several scholarships, and various Sugar Creek beautification projects. There will be a silent auction with tea pots, gift baskets, children’s toys, and many other items. The luncheon will follow

Fort Bend Hornets win championship!

The 12U Fort Bend Hornets won the championship of the Nations Baseball January Showdown on Sunday, January 26, at Doss Park. The Hornets beat Hunter Pence Baseball Academy 14-8 in the championship game. The Hornets are comprised of boys from Richmond and Sugar Land. Knights of Columbus, Holy Family Parish Council receive two awards The Knights of Columbus, Holy Family Parish Council #7728 in Missouri City/ Stafford, has received State and Supreme Awards for 2012-2013.The Supreme Star Council Award recognizes outstanding achievement in membership, insurance and service program activities. The State Council Lone Star Award for Excellence with Distinction recognizes a council that has met all State Council Criteria and exceeds all State Council Charities Goals.
