Digital Home and CoaxData Thanks to the development of CoaxData technology, Televés has extended its coaxial cable concept, which has become a multimedia transmission media for broadband and shared access over which any multimedia service can be provided without limitations. Security is completely guaranteed due to the coaxial cable specifications, unlike other media in which someone else's data can be easily accessed. Starting within this technological conception, Televés has developed a Digital Home Platform, which allows the integration of communications and services over the already installed coaxial cable infrastructure in the home,carrying services in a domestic scenario of security,leisure, comfort and communications. The platform offers the possibility to access all services from anywhere in the world with the innovative residential gateway, which provides the marriage between home and Internet giving the user the capacity of control and management of his home using very common devices like a mobile phone, a PDA, a PC or their own TV set. In addition, great effort has been made to make the interface both simple and user friendly, avoiding complicated hurdles for people not accustomed to new technologies. The systems pays special attention to security services (fire alarms,gas, flooding,intrusion,medical emergencies,...) allowing the user to customize every security action that the system is able to automatically carry out. Regarding the Gateway installation, the system developed follows the philosophy of “plug and play”, which means that the system automatically detects and configures every installed device.
