One of the European leaders in the manufacturing of luxury coaches Founded in 1889 for the building of elegant carriages and stagecoaches, today this company forms part of Mondragón Corporación Cooperativa (MCC), one of Spain's most important business groups. Irizar makes luxury coaches using its own specially developed technologies, adapting them to multiple chassis types, markets and requirements, according to the individual needs of the client. It offers three coach lines: – Irizar PB –a hi-tech coach, created and designed in line with strict criteria to ensure security, comfort, reliability and profitability. – Century –with a streamlined and aerodynamic exterior in order to optimise fuel consumption. Created especially for covering regular and middle distance routes. – Irizar i4 –developed to serve the short and middle distance passenger transport sector. It is the leader of the Spanish market, with a market share of over 40%, and one of the most important chassis manufacturers in the European Union, producing over 1,600 chassis per year and with certified products in over 85 countries. In 1998 the IRIZAR Group was created, as a result of an expansion strategies and alliances, covering its business activities: IRIZAR TIANJIN (China 1995), IRIZAR MAGHREB (Morocco 1997), IRIZAR BRAZIL (1998), IRIZAR MEXICO (1999), INTERNATIONAL HISPACOLD (Spain 1997), IRIZAR TVS LTD.
