We at Fore/adventure believe in the amazing power of taking children out of the classroom and into the GREAT OUTDOORS! In line with curriculum targets, children can develop their personal, social and educational learning outside within safe and stimulating environments. From foraging to fishing, bush craft to beach school, wild food exploration, kayaking and snorkelling, we have it all here ready for you from our unique location in Studland. Working with KS1 and KS2 to build foundational social and learning skills in line with educational targets, Fore/adventure offer activities that are unique in both experience and attainment. All of the below activities are suitably applicable to meet the targets set within your physical education, science, english, art and design and geography subjects and can also be adapted to fulfil further subjects requirements. In addition the guaranteed acquired skills from all of our activities make our courses well suited to team building and transition work between key stages, year groups and schools as well as to inclusive groups and those with SEN.

SKILLS All of our activities will engage with the natural environment we are working within, encouraging young people to be observant and to recognise and understand the formation of geographical and environmental characteristics of the place they are in as well as the life that exists within it. Through all of our activities, whether delivered to KS1, KS2, through the national curriculum or alternative education courses there are guaranteed skills that we can assure will be fostered and utilised during an experience with us. These are inherent because of the nature of our activities as well as the methods we use when working with young people. These include: risk assessing, team, confidence and self-esteem building, interpersonal skills, cooperation, problem solving, empathy, motor skills, personal development target setting, emotional literacy, group management, leadership, fine motor skills, responsibility, dexterity and first aid skills. We will always ensure a period of reflection during your experience with us as we know the importance of this for ensuring the knowledge, skills and experience gained while with us is absorbed as well as for providing evidence that the required educational targets of the activity are being met.
