Offering for Global Missions today helps sustain the long-term presence of CBF field personnel serving around the world.

This means that you’ll help care for refugees around the world, welcome refugees to the U.S. and care for people who need help. You will welcome people, you will share the Gospel and you will create Beloved Community.

Your gift will change a life!

Through your gift to the Offering for Global Missions… You welcome a refugee Refugees around the world experience many challenges. “I left my country, Congo, as a refugee due to the rebellion….My father was among the people who were arrested and killed and my mother also, and some of my brothers and sisters. I had to run two to three days in the night.” — Felix, now a pastor in Research Triangle, N.C.

You can welcome one refugee who has nowhere else to turn. Your gift will help provide support like: • Shelter, food, clothing and other basic needs • English classes, education and economic opportunities • Love and support to navigate a new country and culture • Bible studies, prayer • A cup of tea and hospitality

“To flee your country, to live in a foreign country isn’t easy. You leave everything behind, and you arrive with nothing. Life is hard.” — Marabusa, Kampala, Uganda

You welcome someone home Too many people are homeless and hungry. “I ended up in Danville homeless. I lived under a house. . .The first time that I went to Grace & Main, I felt like I was welcome and that I mattered. . .I was surrounded by people that encouraged me, that stood by me.” — Bruce, Danville, Va.

You can create loving community and offer radical hospitality to a person who is alone. Ministries like Grace & Main, led by CBF field personnel Jessica and Joshua Hearne, include: • Offering beds in homes for those who need it • An urban farm and weekly meals • Worship, community and communion

“My whole life has been transformed. I have a place now. I bought a car. I’ve got two jobs. . .I feel like I belong and that I can make a difference.” — Bruce, Danville, Va.

Here’s how you restore people’s lives… Refugees learn English and other vital skills through the ministry of CBF field personnel Kim and Marc Wyatt in Research Triangle, N.C.

After experiencing unspeakable atrocities in her home country, Jamilah received shelter, emergency medical care, counseling, education, vocational and leadership training, and a community of love and support through the work of CBF field personnel Shelah and Jade Acker and Missy Ward-Angalla in Uganda. She now plays the cello and piano. “Here I got a new life, a new story,” Jamilah said.

“To sit down and have a meal with somebody, to help the marginalized and the poor. That’s where the heart of Jesus is…with the forgotten people of the world.” — Mike, Danville, Va.
