2014 (Junior): Has already been named a Louisville Slugger Preseason Third Team All-American and a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Preseason Third Team All-American … Enters his junior season currently riding a 30-game hitting streak which is just 11 games shy of breaking into the top-10 longest hitting streaks in NCAA Division I history. 2013 (Sophomore): Had one of the best all-around seasons in Mercer program history and established himself as one of the most gifted pure hitters in all of college baseball … One of only two Bears to appear and start in all 61 games last season … Led the A-Sun Conference and finished sixth in the nation with a remarkable .401 batting average … Became just the sixth player in Mercer program history to hit over .400 in a single-season and the first since John Callihan achieved the feat back in 1991 … Led the A-Sun Conference, broke the Mercer single-season record and finished second in the country with 105 hits … Ranked in the top-80 in the country in RBI (18th – 65), total bases (28th – 141), runs scored (55th – 56), on-base percentage (61st – .458) and doubles (78th – 18) … Led the team with 33 multi-hit games and was second on the squad with 16 multi-RBI contests … Hit an even .500 (42-for-84) with runners in scoring position to go along with 23 two-out RBI … Went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in a 5-4 Bears win in the Championship Game of the Snowbird Baseball Classic against Notre Dame (Feb. 17) … Was named A-Sun Conference Player of the Week after going 7-for-11 with three doubles, nine RBI and four runs scored in a series sweep of Miami (OH) (March 1-2) … Went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, three runs scored and a career-high seven RBI in an 18-3 win over Savannah State (March 27) … Tied his career-high with four hits in a 7-4 win at Northern Kentucky (May 16) … Played well in the Bears two games in the Starkville Regional going a combined 5-for-8 with three doubles and four RBI against South Alabama (May 31) and Central Arkansas (June 1) … Picked up a bevy of postseason honors for his play including becoming the first Mercer player named the A-Sun Conference Player of the Year since Coach Gibson received the honor in 1985 … Was also selected to the A-Sun Conference All-Academic team, A-Sun Championship All-Tournament team, Starkville Regional All-Tournament team, ABCA/Rawlings All-American third team, ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region first team and Louisville Slugger/CollegeBaseballInsider.com All-American Honorable Mention team. 2012 (Freshman): Was hands down one of the best freshman at any position in the country last season due to his phenomenal numbers at the plate ... Was recognized for his outstanding first season with the Bears when he was named a Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American and became the first player in program history voted the A-Sun Conference Freshman of the Year.
