2013 (Junior): Burst onto the scene in his first season in Macon, stepping right into the leadoff hitter role in the Bears lineup due to his ability to get on base in a variety of ways … One of three Bears to appear in all 61 of Mercer’s games last season, earning the start in 59 of them … Finished fourth on the club with a .308 batting average and third on the team with seven home runs … Scored a staggering 68 runs last season which ranked first in the A-Sun Conference, seventh in the country and is tied for the fourth-most in a single-season in Mercer program history … Also led the A-Sun and ranked 30th in the nation with 19 hit by pitches … Ranked fifth in the A-Sun with a .427 on-base percentage and ninth in the league with 15 stolen bases … Hit .348 (23-for-66) with runners in scoring position and ranked tied for fourth in the team with 16 two-out RBI … Had 10 multi-RBI games and finished third on the team with 23 multi-hit outings … Went 2-for4 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in a 19-4 win over Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 24) … Set a season-high in hits with a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate to go along with three runs scored in a 9-6 win over Miami (OH) (March 2) … Had a big day in the Bears 4-3 A-Sun Conference opening win over Kennesaw State (March 15), going 2-for5 with a home run and tying his season-high with three RBI … Scored a season-high four runs in an 18-3 win over Savannah State (March 27) … Played well in the Bears two games in the Starkville Regional going a combined 3-for-8 at the dish with two doubles and four runs scored against South Alabama (May 31) and Central Arkansas (June 1). Before Mercer: Was the starting center fielder for Chipola College in Marianna, Fla. under head coach Jeff Johnson ... Hit .307 as a sophomore while leading the team in runs scored (47), walks (31) and on-base percentage (.449) on his way to being named a Panhandle All-Conference second team performer ... Appeared in 38 games as a freshman and hit .255 with 15 RBI to help Chipola to a FCSAA/NJCAA Gulf District Baseball Tournament Championship and a fifth-place showing in the 2011 NJCAA Division I World Series as a freshman.
