DPT 952 Neuromuscular Physical Therapy II Continuation of DPT 951 focusing on the management of the adult patient with complex neuromuscular disorders. Eighth semester. Five semester hours. DPT 953 Pediatric Physical Therapy Physical therapy management of the pediatric patient. Management of primary and secondary conditions common to the pediatric physical therapy setting. Emphasis on the evaluation, examination and tests and measures for the pediatric population. Interaction with family, caregivers and other health care providers. Seventh semester. Four semester hours. DPT 954 Orthotics and Prosthetics Concepts and application of orthotic and prosthetic devices in patient management with an emphasis on the lower extremity. Seventh semester. Three semester hours.

DPT 980 Clinical Education III (16 weeks) Third of three experiences to provide students the opportunity for hands-on clinical practice under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Students engage in practice with patients of varying complexities and participate in the management of the physical therapy practice setting. Preparation for entry-level practice emphasized. Ninth semester. Eight semester hours.
