Left: Pete Catan led Eastern Illinois in sacks and tackles for loss for three straight seasons as the Panthers made NCAA Division II Championship game appearances in 1978 and 1980. EIU won the title over Delaware in 1978. Right: Tristan Burge earned first team AFCA All-America honors in 2006 as the Panthers earned back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference championships. Burge ended his career with 17 tackles and one interception in the Panthers NCAA playoff loss to Illinois State.
