Steve MCQUEEN
1969 yılında Londra’da doğdu. Londra’da Chelsea Sanat Okulu’nda (1989-1990), Goldsmith's College’da (1990-1993) ve New York Üniversitesi Tisch Sanat Okulu’nda (1993-1994) eğitim aldı. Londra Çağdaş Sanat Enstitüsü’ndeki (ICA) film enstalasyon çalışması ve sergisiyle 1999 yılında Turner Ödülü’nü aldı. “Açlık” (2008) adlı filmi ilk olarak Cannes Film Festivali’nde gösterildi.
Steve MCQUEEN He was born 1969, London, England. He studied at Chelsea School of Art, London, 1989-90; Goldsmith's College, London, 1990-93 & Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, New York, 1993-94. McQueen won the Turner Prize in 1999 for his film installation work and exhibition at the Institute of Comtemporary Arts [ICA], London, England. His 2008 film “Hunger” premiered at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival.
