Irisarri’s recorded output captures an essential vision of floating tones, deep pulsing bass and textured Gaussian curves. His use of ostinato phrases taps into minimalist ideals, while his use of atmospheric layers of reverb suggests a more cinematic quality. Irisarri’s compositions are deeply emotive and epic to the point of being symphonic.
CONFORCE
19 May, DEAF & TodaysArt: 30Y V2_, WORM De Nederlandse producent Conforce verbindt vroege Detroit met Berlijnse dub-techno: korrelige, ruimtelijke beats met flarden donkere, atmosferische elektronica. Hij bracht muziek uit op Delsin en het Britse dub techno-label Meanwhile, waar in 2010 ook zijn debuutalbum Machine Conspiracy op verscheen, dat goed werd ontvangen. In 2011 bracht hij de EP Dystopian Elements uit en zijn tweede album Escapism. Dutch producer Conforce straddles early Detroit and Berlin dub techno, making grainy, spacey beats with swathes of dark, atmospheric electronics. His early releases on Rush Hour in 2007 and 2008 got support from DJs like Laurent Garnier and Derrick May. He later released EPs on Delsin and the UK dub-techno-oriented label Meanwhile, which put out his well-received debut album, Machine Conspiracy, in 2010. In 2011, Conforce released the Dystopian Elements EP and the full-length album Escapism on Delsin. 63
