Among the bills that were rated were the Solar Industry Development and Jobs Act, Wetlands Protection, Global Warming Pollution Control Act, Hydrofracking Regulation and Water Resources Protection Act. * * * More white fences went up around Madonna’s Bridgehampton horse farm last week. We are living in a material world. Madonna will reportedly be the halftime act at the next Super Bowl. With backup from Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., the superstar will sing songs from her 12th studio album (to be released this spring). The Super Bowl takes place February 5 in Indianapolis. * * * East End rocker Nancy Atlas gave birth to baby boy Levon Louis Muse last week, while restaurateurs (Race Lane) Rowaida and Jay Plumeri welcomed a baby girl, Ryder Rose Plumeri. * * * The newest release by East Hampton’s Steven Spielberg, The Adventures of Tintin, made $55.8 million in its international debut last weekend. The film opens in the United States this December. * * * Sag Harbor 6th grader, India Attias, will join over 250 outstanding middle school students from across the United States to take part in an extraordinary six-day leadership conference in Washington, D.C. Themed Voices of Leadership: Reflecting on the Past to Create the Future, the Junior National Young Leaders Conference introduces young people to the rich tradition of leadership throughout American history, while helping them to develop their own leadership skills. * * * The Equity production of To Kill A Mockingbird currently on stage at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor includes local actors Lily Spellman from Hampton Bays, Susan Galardi, Hudson Galardi-Troy, Myles Stokowski and Joe Pallister from Sag Harbor, Scott Thomas Hinson and Seth Hendricks from Southampton and Joanna Howard from Westhampton. * * * Suffolk County Sheriff Vincent F. DeMarco was visited by the Superintendent of the National Police Agency of Japan Masafumi Kondo last week. Superintendent Kondo’s visit included a tour of the Suffolk
