Deep Hollow Ranch could be attractive to a private buyer who would like to ride around on his own cattle ranch in Montauk. Some are hoping, though, that the horse-riding tours and ranch will continue on, should a new owner be found. One fan of the horse tours said, “It would be hard to digest to not be able to go horseback riding through Deep Hollow Ranch. That has been something that my kids and I have been doing for years.” Deep Hollow Ranch was also the location of the live Paul Simon and Billy Joel concerts that used to take place in Montauk. The listing price is being furnished only upon request, however, curbed.com, a real estate gossip website, claims that they have run “experiments” on the listing. These crown jewel properties in Montauk are riding on a real estate wave of large transactions that began with the sale of the Warhol Estate in 2006 to the current CEO of J. Crew, Millard S. Drexler, for a record price of $27 million. During that time Gosman’s Dock went up for sale at $55 million but never sold, and the Montauk Yacht Club was bought by Andrew Farkas in 2007 for $34 million. The Wavestone Group then transformed the Shepard’s Neck Inn into Sole East for $11 million in 2007. More recently, The Crow’s Nest changed hands in Montauk when Sean MacPherson bought it this year for $4.2 million. And the East Deck Motel, located on Ditch Plains Beach and famous for being featured in Playboy Magazine, is up for sale for $20 million.

Deep Hollow Ranch, owned by the Leaver family for as long as anyone can remember, is another beautiful spot. Atlantic Beach Realty in Montauk has the listing on their website and is describing the property as “Historically known as the Oldest Cattle Ranch in the
