Molly Sims at Love Heals

This past Saturday, July 10, the Tahari store on Main Street in East Hampton hosted a dream event for any accessory obsessed Fashionista. The contemporary clothing brand partnered with the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers) by throwing a “Sparkle in the Sun” soiree. Several cutting edge jewelry designers including Waris Ahluwalia, Yuvi Alpert and Danna Kobo, Nak Armstrong, Rachel Dooley, Isaac Manevitz, Patricia Von Musulin, Irene Neuwirth, Jill Platner and Janis Savitt had an opportunity to showcase their original designs surrounded by Tahari’s latest fashions. Models wearing white summer fashions draped with necklaces, bracelets and rings, made of gold, silver, semi-precious stones and diamonds, carefully navigated their way around glass cases that also displayed the wearable art. From “Warrior Princess” to “Industrial Chic,” guests were encouraged to be hands on with all the designs. Eli Tahari mingled with guests and was even inspired to suggest specific designs. The designer told me, “I enjoy working with the CFDA. This event is important because it helps these talented artists share their work and exposes clients to several new and different collections all at once.” Later that evening, the sun set over Luna Farm in Sagaponack and created the perfect backdrop to the 11th Annual Love Heals at Luna Farm, co-hosted by Peter Davis and Mary Alice Stephenson. An eclectic mix of VIP’s including Dini von Mueffling, Molly Sims, Andrew Saffir and Daniel Benedict, Becca Diamond, Celerie Kemble and Boykin Curry, Cristina Greeven Cuomo, Donny Deutsch, Eric Villency, Hilary Rhoda, Hoda Kotb, Lauren and Charlie Walk, Brad and Melissa Rand, Matt White, Victoria Leacock Hoffman, Lauren Kucerack, Adriel Reboh, and Greg and Randi Sandler came out to support the cause and helped raise more than $350 thousand to benefit The Alison Gertz Foundation for AIDS Education. Actress, Sport Illustrated supermodel and Wainscott resident Molly Sims turned heads upon her arrival. Sims looked stunning dressed in a simple long black Maxi (continued on page 54)
