mission hills art gallery Art Gallery in Mission Hills is a local art gallery positioned in the retail and commercial downtown district of the Mission Hills community in San Diego, Califor nia Positioned in the retail and commercial downtown district of the community of Mission Hills, the local art gallery would house moder n art from the local artists in the community. In designing, I strove to create a space that was both alive in the day and thriving in the night as both times drew in different crowds on the streets. The materials of the building consist of concrete block, glazing, and metal siding to create a distinguished yet contemporary feel to reflect on what was being displayed inside. I completed this project in my second year at San Diego Mesa College in the spring of 2010. As this being one of my earlier works, I am impressed in the level of detail and conceptual ideas.
