THE DELAWARE VALLEY’S MOST INFLUENTIAL LATINOS OF 2014

A Message from the Publisher…

W

elcome to the 2014 edition of the Most Influential Latinos magazine. This annual edition is dedicated to highlight a selected crop of Latino Leadership. The magazine originated nine years ago and resulted in an incredible positive impact as the first publication of its kind, featuring the region’s Latino community at its best.

The Most Influential Latinos magazine showcases a large group of local Latino leaders that were nominated by their peers and selected through a distinguished committee. Developed as a way to display the accomplishments of our local Hispanic community, this publication recognizes these leaders for their contributions to Latinos and the community at-large. Our first edition was an eye-opener to many who suddenly started noticing the relevance of our community. This year, we continue building upon our previous successes and present a collection of esteemed professionals that really make us Latinos proud. This magazine is divided in three sections that present different groups of people, all of them successful within their professions. First, the Latino Leaders is a category that includes many seasoned executives, officials, and everyday heroes, who work tirelessly for the betterment of our community. Next, we have the Movers and Shakers, who are defined by their significant impact to create and generate opportunities that move forward and progress for the benefit of the larger community; and finally, the Most Influential are a group of individuals that have strongly influenced a course of events and changed the way people relate to one another through their accomplishments and extraordinary work during the past year. I personally invite all of our readers to enjoy this publication as it highlights some of the best and brightest stars that help make the Greater Philadelphia a great Region for Latinos. The 2014 awardees share individual success stories that play well as real role models for our youth. In our community, the success of some is the triumph of many. I really hope that you agree with the 2014 selection committee, truly enjoy this edition. Gracias!

Congratulations!

I

s 2014, and we continue to have the great privilege of recognizing the accomplishments and successes of many Latinos in the Philadelphia region, great leaders that honor their community with their commitment and purpose in their daily lives, in order to generate better conditions for our people. As every year, in 2014 the selecting committee had a demanding task, as we looked deeper into the long list of nominees, to make sure the final list of awardees was as fair and accurate as possible. Our final 50 awardees were chosen from a list covering the entire region. Some names are well known within the community, some others do not sound familiar to many, but even people working far from the spotlight can have a huge impact over other people’s lives.
