Brittany Conkey was the winner of the Shining Star award for Advanced Clothing Project; county winner and state fair delegate in Lawn Care and Self Determined Project; and county winner in Vegetable Gardening 2.

The grand champion beef steer at the Defiance County fair sold for $2,100 at the junior fair livestock auction on Friday. The steer was raised by Emily Singer of Ney.
