Hey there D38W owls! Wow can you believe DCON is only 2 months away and the Key Club year is almost over? It feels like just yesterday I was composing my first newsletter. They sure have improved since then. Keep your eyes peeled in this newsletter and look for some key items to win a special prize at next month’s DCM! Search for ___ Pages with heart backgrounds ___ Pages using purple & blue color combos ___ Total amount of owls (real & animated) ___ Key Club Seals Email me the correct answers to all these questions by February 16th before 6 pm and await your owl-icious treat!

Hello Division 38 West Owls! Wow, can you just BEE-lieve that the first month of 2016 has already passed! Time truly flies when you are living each day to the fullest and bettering your homes, schools, and communities through your passionate and uncontested service! As we kick-start 2016, I want you Owls to all remember the AMAZING things that you have accomplished as Key Clubbers in 2015, such as raising over $300 for the Pediatric Trauma Program , serving the homeless community in the Grace Resource service project, and winning the Spirit Stick at Fall Rally South! Every one of you deserve the highest commendation for all of these phenomenal feats, and I sincerely want to thank you all for making 2015 and the first three quarters of my term as your Lieutenant Governor such a memorable and impactful experience for me. It was your passion and dedication that gave me the mental and physical strength to cope through all obstacles and continue my service to you as a Lieutenant Governor.
Though I wasn’t a perfect Lieutenant Governor in 2015 and lacked in many areas, I will now strive to make these last three months of my term the absolute best that it can be. But just as last year, I cannot walk this journey alone, and need all of you, the Owls of Division 38 West, to be by my side. So let’s soar across the sky in unison and strive together to help the BEE-autiful division that we all serve reach new heights! L-O-V-E I love my D-I-V!
Hyeveen Cho Lieutenant Governor, 2015-2016

Rose Float Decoration “Today while volunteering at the Rose Float Decoration event, I helped to fill small vials with water to keep the flowers healthy. I loved being able to come out and be able to help with such a big and special event.” - David Rashmajyah, Quartz Hill High School “The Rose Float Decorating has always been my favorite service project with Key Club annually participates in! I’m so glad I was able to help out this year because it’s always such a great time but I’m sad that this was my last one.” - Nicole Potenciano, Highland High School “It was very cold at the Rose Float decorating service project but the other volunteers were so welcoming. After hours of work, we were given a delicious meal of pasta and pizza. It felt great to know that all my hard work was going into something that would turn out looking so beautiful and be displayed in the Rose Parade. I definitely look forward to participating again next year.”
