ďƒ MIDWOOD H.S. KEY CLUB The March of Dimes is an annual walk that takes place to raise money for research and programs that aid babies in living healthy lives. Primarily this money goes to babies born prematurely. Due to the help from the March of Dimes the premature birthrate has dropped and children are being helped more effectively through the critical days following their birth. This year the walk took place on Sunday, May 1, 2011 in Manhattan. The weather was beautiful but the member turnout was not so beautiful. We all understand that the weather is getting nicer and it is getting more difficult to gather large groups of people to attend events but you can always bring your friends along and have a good time while you walk. All of us that attended the walk enjoyed it and there was free food at the end. Who doesn’t love free food? The Midwood High School cheerleaders were there at the finish line to cheer us on and it is gratifying to receive recognition for something you have done.
