Jokes A woman from rural area goes into the local newspaper office to see that the obituary for her recently deceased husband is written. The obit editor informs her that the fee for the obituary is a euro per word. She pauses, reflects and then says, "Well, then, just let it read, 'Billy Bob died'." Amused at the woman's thrift, the editor says, "Sorry Mrs, there is a seven word minimum on all obituaries." A little flustered, she thinks things over and replies, "In that case, let it read, 'Billy Bob died - Red tractor for sale'.

After driving up and down several lanes, I finally found a parking spot at the shopping mall. I noticed another man driving very slowly in the same direction, and, since he was closer, I gave him the "Are you going to park there?" look. His responding gestures were very confusing. First he shook his head. Next he pointed at me, then at the parking space and then at himself, his watch and the mall. Finishing off, he frowned, raised his palms upward and shrugged. Once I parked, I

Children really brighten up a household - they never turn the lights off. Ralph Bus walked over to the driver to make sure he didn't want the space. "You must be single," he replied. "If you were married, you would've known that was the universal sign for 'Go ahead and take the spot. I'm waiting for my wife.'"

I saw a new ad campaign being by Florida Tourism. Against a drop dead sunset beach picture, It reads: Come to the SW coast of Florida this winter for your family vacation! It's got everything... Sand for the children, fishing galore for Dad, sun for the wife, and plenty of sharks for the mother-in-law. George goes to the Birth Registration Office to register his newborn son. The man behind the counter asks the name he wants to give to the boy, and the father replies: "Euro." The man says that such a name is not acceptable, because it's a currency. Says George: "What? There weren't any objections when I called my first two sons Mark and Frank."

A very elderly gentleman, (mid nineties) very well dressed, hair well groomed, great looking suit, flower in his lapel smelling slightly of a good after shave, presenting a well looked after image, walks into an upscale cocktail lounge. Seated at the bar is an elderly looking lady, (mid eighties). The gentleman walks over, sits along side of her, orders a drink, takes a sip, turns to her and says, "So tell me, do I come here often?"

TEACHER: George, go to the map and find North America. GEORGE: Here it is! TEACHER: Correct. Now class, who discovered America? CLASS: George! TEACHER: Willie, name one important thing we have today that we didn't have ten years ago. WILLIE: Me!

There was a caller who asked for a knitwear company in Woven. Operator: Woven?. Are you sure?.

Caller: "Yes. That's what it says on the label - Woven in Scotland". Caller: "I'd like the RSPCA please". Operator: "Where are you calling from?". Caller: "The living room".

When I was young I used to pray for a bike, then I realized that God doesn't work that way, so I stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness. A reporter was interviewing a 104 year-old woman: "And what do you think is the best thing about being 104?" She simply replied, "No peer pressure." A man and his wife were lying in bed the other night when he noticed she had bought a new book entitled, "What 20 Million American Women Want." He grabbed the book out of her hands and started thumbing through the pages. His wife was a little annoyed. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" He calmly replied, "I just wanted to see if they spelled my name right."

Denise Conquers Carrauntoohil Following her very popular appearance on the RTE ‘Operation Transformation’ programme last year Denise Ryan, Borrisoleigh is still on her journey to good health and regular exercise. Recently she completed 'The 14th Annual Kerry Charity Challenge' (in association with Mid Tipp Hillwalkers). This involved ‘The Carrauntoohill Challenge’ by climbing to the top of Ireland’s highest mountain via the Hag's Glen and the Devil's Ladder. Denise and her friends also used the opportunity to raise funds for The National Council for the Blind. Denise writes: "Mairín Keeley and Clare Bohan and I made our way to the Castle Rosse Hotel at the foot of the Kerry Mountains in Killarney, Co. Kerry. Michael Sutton was the event promoter who organised everything and there were over 160 people in attendance for the weekend. It was

brillantly organised and a very fun weekend! I would like to give a special mention to John Gerard O Dwyer who was the event organiser, and led our particular challenge, he made the challenge very enjoyable and made sure everyone in our 35 plus group reached the summit and returned home safe and sound, with the help of Winnie from Clonoulty and Joan Quinn from Drombane. Without the help of these people I doubt we would have reached the summit and got back." Denise also pointed out that MidTipp Hillwalkers next big charity event is the 12th annual Autumn Charity Challenge which this year takes place in Westport and offers an opportunity to enjoy a weekend of the best walking in the west. Further information on this event from Michael Sutton at 086-2602133.

Tipp Friends of Animals Sponsored Dog Walk The annual sponsored dog walk in aid of Tipperary Friends of Animals SPCA will take place in Nenagh on Sunday 23rd. Alice is walking throught the forest of forgetfulness. She wants to know what day of the week it is. She stops and asks a lion and a unicorn. Now the lion lies all of the time on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The unicorn always lies on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Alice asks the lion what day it is, he says, "Well, yesterday was one of my lying days." Alice can't figure it out just from the lion's answer so she asks the unicorn and the unicorn says, "Yesterday was also one of my lying days." What day is it?

Rising star of The Panel for The Source Dermot Whelan, the cheeky, fresh faced, junior member of The Panel is coming to The Source on Saturday 8th May as part of the Young Gifted & Green tour. The tour features the rising stars of comedy on the irish circuit today and should give a welcome shot in the arm to all things funny, as some of the more established acts are getting a bit jaded.

Dermot is a household name in Ireland due to his regular appearances on the panel. His bizarre sense of humour is often the lynch pin to some of the most humorous moments on the show in recent times. He is also noted for his alter ego’s: The Toll Trolls, who have had three top ten albums and went double platinum. Dermot’s stand up show has already been at The Cat Laughs and Edinburgh Fringe festivals, where he has taken audiences by storm with his incisive wit.

Now it is the turn of The Source Arts Centre to welcome the future of Irish comedy. Dermot is going to be accompanied by Fred Cooke, who’s completely off the wall style of comedy is sure to have everybody roaring with laughter, while feeling just a little confused. Trust me; this man really should not be let out alone. That’s why he is with Dermot.

Young Gifted & Green is at The Source Arts Centre on Saturday 8th May at 8pm. Tickets €10.

Part Time Writer David Rice was the guest speaker at the launch of Marjorie Quorton's new book, "Part-Time Writer", held in Eason's of Nenagh. There was a great turn out for the launch with people coming from as far away as Cork to meet the author. Marjorie, who was born in Nenagh and educated in Dublin has written several books including children's books and short stories. Her latest book makes a very interesting read as it tells the reader how to get into the writing world and would be a great guide for any aspiring author. David Rice described the book as a the best "cross-breed" book he has ever read. It is a how-to book combined with her memoirs, a fascinating way on leading a person in the right direction from her own vast experience and by weaving in how to write with her memories, the how-to comes alive for the reader. She gives advice through-out the book on certain subjects one of which is don’t try to make a story longer than it need be. The pure

statement should be enough to get the point across. She is also a believer in the power of language and has certain hates, one of which is the extremely misused word "like". David Rice said that there is wisdom, humour and humility running through the book and feels that everyone should get the book and read it for the sheer joy of what is in the book, but that each reader should beware, they could become a writer! Marjorie Quarton said at the end of the launch, that she has never had so much simple pleasure from a launch.

Purple Rose Bike Run The first run of what is to become an annual charitable biking event took place on the 24th of April as 65 bikes left Tipperary town and headed on out to Killybegs in Co Donegal via the Midlands and Enniskillen. The trip was organised by a small group led by Mary Behan as part of the Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Week and she is delighted to report that over €10,000 was raised in support of Cork University Hospital who are constructing a unit dedicated to treating the 135 afflicted by the disease in Munster alone as well as others suffering respiratory disorders. The riders were blessed with good weather for the weekend and were led by two more of the organising committee in the shape of Sgt Ben Lynch of Tipperary Gardai along with John Redfern of the South Tipperary Fire Service. Jack Leonard, Mike Noonan, Mike Ellard and Billy Breen expertly marshalled the bikes as they headed north and it is to their credit that the whole weekend passed off so safely and without incident except for a couple of breakdowns and one rider, who shall remain nameless, losing his trousers and appearing at breakfast in some rather fetching pink pyjamas. Billy Bresnan, chairman of the organising committee, was full of praise for the high standard of riding shown by all taking part with everyone looking out for each other and displaying an excellent sense of roadcraft, this was particularly important considering

the state of some of the road surfaces which were travelled. Once the group arrived at Killybegs we were made more than welcome at the Bay View Hotel who provided an excellent meal and delightfully comfortable rooms at a very reasonable cost to a good cause. The bikes themselves were garaged overnight in the fish auction shed on the docks and once again we are tremendously grateful for this kindness, it was reassuring to know that they would be safe and dry in the morning. Returning home on the Sunday was a more relaxed affair with small groups taking of at various times during the day and some staying on for another night at the hotel. As chairman of the organisers Billy Bresnan would like to express his gratitude to all who took part, helped out and supported the event and he pointed out that the goodwill shown by all the individual sponsors and the business's who contributed was an incredible boost to the total raised with the people of Tipperary and the surrounding area once again reaching into their pockets to help others despite the difficulties that the recession may well have brought them. All who were part of the event are invited to a cheque presentation at Nelly's bar Tipperary in a weeks time. Full details can be obtained from Mary Brehan on 087 3226896 and images of the run may be viewed at www.justinseye.com with a Youtube slideshow to be available shortly.

TB change will reduce costs for cattle finishers IFA President John Bryan has welcomed the announcement by the Minister for Agriculture Brendan Smith to change the TB testing rules to facilitate the slaughter of cattle up to 18 months since their last test. He said IFA has campaigned for this change for some time in order to reduce significant cost and hassle for cattle finishers.

John Bryan said the new arrangements will allow for purchased-in animals to be slaughtered up to 18 months since their last TB test, provided the herd is in 12-month test. It will remove the necessity for most finishers to have private tests carried out on bought-in animals out of test.

The private testing of these animals immediately prior to slaughter has been a major cost to finishers because of the loss of weight from assembling heavy cattle twice in

three days, the veterinary expenses and the distortion to normal sale.

IFA Animal Health Project Team Chairman John Waters said this change to the TB testing rule for slaughter animals is part of IFA’s ongoing campaign to drive down costs and remove unnecessary red tape from day-to-day farming activities. He said IFA will be monitoring the introduction of this new arrangement very closely in order to ensure the conditions are not overly restrictive on farmers and their ability to continue to trade as normal.

John Waters said, “our recent survey on TB testing charges identified average call-out fees of over €60 and €3.69 per animal tested. This new arrangement will remove this exorbitant and unnecessary cost for cattle finishers.”

The Leaving Certificate: A 1970’s Recollection

Saving and Investing for Life An independent book in clear English by Gerard Sheehy

By Josephine Condon Here I am, a poor sixth year student surrounded by a sea of books. It has been thus for a long time and my life for several months past has been a daily grind of rising early to study, then to school, back home, more study ‘till the small hours, followed by an uneasy sleep. Even my weekends have been sabotaged by this incessant swotting. There’s one more week to go before I start my Leaving Certificate Examination. I am surging forward on waves of adrenalin, anxiety, and determination, towards the first exam. That day finally arrives. It is still only seven a.m. but I have already been up for over one hour. The sun is shining and it is becoming warm. I am pacing around the yard, wearing my school uniform and studying Macbeth. Today, I will sit the first two subjects of the Examination and I am cramming my head with the final scenes and settings from this Shakespearian play. Then, I turn to Algebra, part of the Maths exam that I will also take later today. The maze of information in my brain is overwhelming and scares me. Worrisome thoughts trouble me. “How will I be able recall it all in logical order.? Will I be able to calm the nervousness and butterflies within me.? Will I achieve the required grades for the course that I have chosen.?”

am I going to put order on this medley of information swirling around inside my head.? What will happen to me if I don’t achieve the grades for a 3rd level course,?” I fret. “How will my parents and others react if I under achieve.? After all they have invested a lot of time and money in my education and I know they have high expectations of me.” I try to pull myself together but still the stress maintains it’s grip on me. I am roused from my worrying thoughts by the sudden halting of the bus and realise that we have arrived at the Examination Centre. I dismount and make my way reluctantly to the door of the building. The invigilator leads me to the desk displaying my exam number. The room is laden with tension, each one consumed by their own thoughts, fraught with their own anxieties. Now, I wish for it to get underway at least then I will have to concentrate on the questions and that should put an end to my restless wanderings. Finally, the papers are distributed and it seems like an eternity before we are instructed to turn the page and begin.

I scan the questions with the speed of a tiger chasing it’s prey. In moments, I assess how I may perform on this paper. To my utter relief, there is material that I have studied well so I am tackling these quesThen I see the school bus arrive and tions first. Silence surrounds me and climb on board. But my relaxation is short lived, for in a couple of hours time and for several days to come, I will have to go through it all again. Almost two weeks of my life go by in this state of powerful deliberation. Then finally, it is accomplished, and freedom, glorious freedom beckons. This is how I felt in the seventies, when I sat for my Leaving Certificate. At that time, the ‘points’ system did not exist and the myriad courses accessible nowadays were not available back then. The plum career or training options presented to us were - Primary Teacher Training, a place in University and Executive Officer in the Civil Service. school entrance hall. Presumably, this was meant to inspire future generations of students. I did not become one of those so called privileged students but though I was bitterly disappointed, my life did not stop there. I went on to have a successful and extremely happy career as a Clerical Officer with a Vocational Education Committee, for several years. My eyes were opened as I realised that life offered me many exciting opportunities outside of the golden three, drummed into us at school and I changed jobs and organisations several times. Later on, totally voluntarily, I completed an adult education course and achieved a third level qualification. So, all you Leaving Cert. students out there, take heart. I am sure your concerns, anxieties and feelings at this time are similar to those I experienced all those years ago. But I survived the distress, disappointment and the shattering of others’ expectations, and went on to have a fulfilling life anyhow. You will too. Good luck.!

Tavern’s Got Talent Final Results tainly didn’t show it. Shauna gave, at least in this reviewer’s opinion, one of the outstanding performances of the night. Taking on 2 incredibly difficult and complex songs, Ironic by Alannis Morissette, and “Paparazzi“ by American recording artist Lady Gaga, Shauna gave a truly flawless performance and could certainly front any band with confidence. A word of praise must go also to fellow competitor Alan Dunne who gave brilliant accompaniment on guitar and also added harmony.

All the Finalists in Tavern’s Got Talent

A capacity crowd witnessed a fitting finale to this year’s Tavern’s Got Talent competition on Saturday night last in The Tavern, Ballinderry. The venue was literally packed to the rafters and the “house full” sign put in place as early as 9.30. This created a very special atmosphere for the 9 acts who gave top-class performances in their quest for the prize. Starting off the evening was Orlaith Murphy from Clonaslee. With a beautiful vocal performance of Jeunes Fillettes and Cant Help Lovin That Man, Orlaith set a very high standard indeed. Olivia Douglas from Ferbane showed her versatility by accompanying herself on keyboard before giving a dazzling display on the button accordion. Local man Alan Dunne as usual gave a very original performance featuring a number by Crowded House, and some sparkling guitar playing and a most accomplished vocal on his second number. He was followed by Cian Morris (Bubba Shakespeare) from Nenagh with an original rap number and a very impressive rendition of Cry Me A River. From Birr came the only band of the night, D-Bloc. These 3 lads rocked the house with their own 2 original

songs, and were a breath of fresh air. They certainly got the audience involved and are a band to watch out for. Great performance by the lads from Birr! By complete contrast Bridget Maher gave us a bluesy performance of Big Bad Handsome Man and the beautiful To Make You Feel My Love, which certainly pleased the judges. Next up was the eventual winner, Conor O’Meara from Portumna. This young man possesses a very special voice, and it was shown to its best with a most beautiful and sincere rendition of Panis Angelicus. Following this Conor introduced his 2nd song as the rugby world cup anthem from 1995, The World In Union. The tune was an excerpt from Gustav Holst’ Jupiter (The Planets) with lyrics by Charlie Skarbek and has been recorded by the world’s most famous singers including Katherine Jenkins and Lesley Garrett, but it is fair to say that Conor’s rendition would not be out of place alongside them. He gave a true understanding of the lyrics, and with the fabulous arrangement and his masterful performance, the audience was applauding long before the final triumphant note. A hard act to follow, but Shane Dwyer did follow it and very graciously indeed by paying tribute to Connor’s performance. Shane himself gave his own unique delivery of Dancing In The Moonlight. Accompanying himself on guitar, he followed this with a very heartfelt version of Guns And Roses’ Patience. The final act was Shauna Deane from Cloughjordan. After a long wait in the packed venue, you might expect Shauna to have been a little nervous. Maybe she was but she cer-

People tend to associate *Camps with the Web and the tech start-ups, but our aim is to try and embrace as much of the Irish business community as

possible. We want to see people from all streams – finance, operations, HR, legal, delivery specialists, R&D, marketing – and yes, even tech! Ireland Inc. has a wealth of knowledge and acumen, more than enough to help us out of these troubled times. By attending (and, more importantly, contributing!) you can help make BizCamp the first “good news story” of the recession. Still not convinced? Hey, it’s free, what have you got to lose? Ireland’s next multinational might be set to rise from the ashes of the Celtic Tiger, and BizCamp might be the place to get it started, help support it in any way you can, or even lead it. This is a user-generated conference, so it’s up to you what you bring to and take from the day. If you want to learn and share your thoughts with some of the brightest and enthusiastic minds in the country, then BizCamp is for you.

Co. Tipperary HSE Community Games The County semi-finals of the Under 14 and U-16 Mixed Tag Rugby were held on Saturday in Roscrea Rugby Club. Whether you’re a first time cruiser or a seasoned veteran, you have to be impressed by the diversity of cruises available. For the rookie cruise traveller, you’ll want to choose a cruise based on what’s important to you. Some cruise lines are famous for their family friendly atmospheres. Others are known for the high calibre of culinary experiences they offer, while some are regarded as the best for entertainment and nightlife. And remember that not all cruise ships are large. These days, there are small and medium sized ships too, and even river cruises where barges travel canals and rivers. And the new breed of cruise ships is more relaxed, with informal dining available. Budget or luxury, cruise ships and their itineraries are quite varied so that you can find one that suits your needs.

If you ask a veteran cruise fan, they will have a favourite itinerary. Routes that travel the islands of the Caribbean are very popular, along with Mediterranean cruises. Up and coming cruises include those that explore the South Pacific (think Fiji and Tahiti), plus ones that follow the Alaskan coastline, alongside mountains, pine forests and a bevy of wildlife. Royal Caribbean Great facilities for all ages Overview

Royal Caribbean International had brought a new dimension to the cruise market with mega-ships boasting extravagant facilities, lavish entertainment programmes, and a wide range of ports of call. These so-called floating resorts have got bigger and better in recent years with the launch of Voyager of the Seas which set new standards when it came to onboard facilities with its rock-climbing wall up the ship’s funnel, an ice-skating rink and indoor promenade. This set the scene for its new vessels, and Royal Caribbean cruise holidays were never the same again. In 2006, RCI pushed the limits further by launchNo matter what type of cruise you ing the world’s biggest cruise ship choose, you’ll love the convenience Freedom of the Seas, which takes a of cruising. Preparing for holiday by Elaine Rogers

The day has arrived, you are on your way to the airport, having double checked everything twice and,

May 3rd, she realises she cannot find her passport. After a week of searching she contacts the passport office to order a new passport. It will take 4 weeks. She explains her situation, and they can speed up the process but it will cost extra. She spends that weekend filling out forms, getting money drafts and passport photos together. She had wanted to go shopping for clothes and essentials for her holiday. But now, that will have to wait. Check: Passport – not ready

if travelling within Europe)

gel, lip protection, bikinis, mankinis packed etc etc etc… Now meet Lorraine. It is January. She has decided to visit her sister in Dubai in May. The months pass. Come April, she decides she better check the flights. They are double price in mid-May, so she leaves it go. 2 weeks later, she checks again, and the flights are now all the same price for all of May, so she spends an extra 400 Euro and books for the last week in May. Check: Flights - too expensive Then she looks at the weather. She discovers the weather will be in the late 30’s during May, approaching 40 degrees by the end of May. This is not something she had anticipated. Check: Weather – too hot

So you’ve booked your holiday to visit the family. You are looking forward to the break. You can’t wait for a bit of sunshine on the bones. There will be outings, relaxation, hanging out with their kids, trips to the beach, trips to the forest.

If you are currently looking for work, and wish to be among the first to be considered when vacancies arise, please email your details and CV (stating the types of work you are interested in) to info@kennedyhr.ie

May 15th, she realises she has 7 days left. She has to work 6 of those, and has agreed to a high profile deadline of May 20th at work. Panic sets in, the passport is not ready yet, but is “on the way”. She needs travel insurance. Why didn’t she just book it when booking the flight? It was only an extra 20 Euro. She spends 2 hours ringing different companies finding out about travel insurance, the cheapest quote she can get is 94 Euro. She takes it. Check: Travel Insurance – extra May 20th. Lorraine has worked 18 hour days to make her deadline at work. She is sleep deprived, and exhausted. She goes to bed early, even though she planned to go late night shopping to pick up a few bits for the holiday. May 21st, she has to put in another day’s work at the office. Hopefully she can leave at 3pm to get a few bits for her holiday. 6pm she is still at work. The passport office says her passport has been sent. She is hoping it is at home. She gets home for 8pm, the

passport is there. Lorraine begins to cry. She realises it is relief, with a mixture of exhaustion and frustration thrown in. She decides to leave packing until the morning, as her flight is not until 1pm. There is nothing to eat in the house, so she nibbles on some crackers. Check: Stress Levels – dangerously high May 22nd, Lorraine had set the alarm for 6am. She awoke at 8am ravenous, and still nothing to eat in the house. She decides she can get something at the airport. She packs her bag, filling it randomly. Nothing seems appropriate for her holiday. She realises she has nothing to bring the kids, and she never got the teabags for her sister or picked up the present her mother wanted to send over with her. But there is no time for that now. She leaves the house, but must return to print out her e-ticket and travel insurance. She looks for her Laser card, and finds her old passport. She curses and eventually leaves the house with 1 hour to check in and get through security. There is no time to do any shopping for sunscreen or a new bikini. Luckily she brought her sensible swimming suit. She picks up some airport type presents for the kids that she knows are not age appropriate. Check: Preparation – All over the place May 23rd, Lorraine arrives in Dubai absolutely exhausted. She needs sleep, and the jetlag is worse than she thought it would be. Her sister picks her up from the airport and the trip to the house is a horrendous 1 hour on 12 lane motorways. Her sister excitedly lists out all the activities she has planned for the week. Arriving at the door, the two kids are all excited and it all just becomes too much.

Luckily for Lorraine, her sis knows her and knows of the stresses of the trip alone, and the first thing on the “schedule” is a nap for 4 hours, through the hottest part of the day. As Lorraine lies back in her cooled bedroom, with only the purr of the aircon to keep her company, she makes a mental note never to let this happen again. It’s mental! Check: Sister saves the day After a good nap and a good night’s sleep, Lorraine has the week she needed and was so looking forward to, and two passports! The moral of Lorraine’s story? Plan and organise your holiday – it may be your only holiday of the year, and so well deserved. Whether a quick weekend away in Co. Mayo, or a 6-week trip to Australia, planning pays off. And enjoy!

Prayers The Miraculous Prayer – Dear Heart of Jesus, in the past I’ve asked for many favours. This time I ask You this very special one (mention favour). Take it Dear Heart of Jesus and place it within Your own broken heart where Your Father sees it, then in His merciful eyes it will become Your favour, not mine. Amen. Say this prayer for 3 days, promise publication and favour will be granted. Never known to fail. L.C. The Miraculous Prayer – Dear Heart of Jesus, in the past I’ve asked for many favours. Abuse

by Jim O Shea

(Continued from previous issue) Bullying in the Work Place Some types of abuse in the workplace (sexual, physical and even verbal) are easier to demonstrate than psychological bullying. This is so difficult to define and to prove, and may appear trivial when written down. In the final analysis, the symptoms may be the only concrete weapon the victim has. But, if a victim complains of being exhausted or depressed as a result of psychological abuse, the response may be to blame the symptom on something else. This is probably the reason why so many do not complain about workplace bullying.

Commission has laid out a code of practice for dealing with workplace bullying which lays out the various procedures for dealing with it. I would like to acknowledge the following, Vhi Corporate Solutions, Pamela Lutgin-Sandvik, Robyn Mann, Joe Gavin, and Labour Relations Commission. Jim O’Shea works as a counsellor from Furze, Thurles. Ph. 087 8211 009. His book When A Child Dies. The Footsteps of a Grieving Family is published by Veritas. Royalties from this book will go to the Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

Continued in next issue) Perhaps the best way is to follow the company’s complaints procedure, if there is one in existence. There is a vital need to educate people about the nature of psychological abuse in the workplace. Ultimately this is the real answer. If all else fails, the victim has the right to contact a Rights Commissioner at the Labour Relations Commission (ph. 01 613 6700). The Rights Commissioner will be au fait with the elements of psychological abuse in the workplace. Indeed, the Labour Relations Tipp Tatler - Conditions of Publication - All material submitted to Tipp Tatler will be subject to the following conditions.
