RECAPTURING Business

Senior Recognition Banquet The Sky’s The Limit The College of Business honors graduates at a Senior Recognition Dinner every term to recognize the student’s exceptional achievements. All Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters of Science in Management graduates are invited. Each student receives a lapel pin and a beautiful frame with a letter from the Dean inside. Faculty members present the frames to students, and all frames are paid for by the Advisory Board of the College of Business. It is our hope for future Senior Recognition Dinners that each student may bring two guests to the event. The Senior Recognition Dinner takes place the day before graduation of each term: Fall, Spring, and Summer. At the Senior Recognition Dinner there is a Keynote speaker, and all

The Dean’s Scholar Award is given to all graduating seniors who scored in the 90th percentile an above on the Major Field Test. Also, Aksana Mathie-

son received the first Business Advisory Board Award of Excellence for outstanding merit. The dinner represents a final sendoff to all graduates, and a way for the College of Business to acknowledge all the senior’s great endeavors – now and in the future.

A Note From the Editor: I would like to begin by thanking Dean Rupp and all the College of Business for giving me the opportunity to create Austin Peay College of Business’ first magazine. I pestered most everyone in the building with incessant questions regarding how the COB operates, and what they are doing in the future. A huge thank you to everyone in the Advising Center and all the graduate assistants; they were an integral part in creating this magazine. Most photos in the magazine were taken by Sherri Devers, and I cannot thank her enough. Dr. Mickey Wadia provided the pictures for the study abroad article. Jake Lowary, in Student Publications, taught me how to use the program, and without him none of this would have happened. In short, this Sincerely, publication came to be because of a team, and I appreciate all the time and effort everyNatalie Deidiker one put in to finish on deadline.
