THE PURPLE AND GOLD CLUB: HELPING TO SUPPORT A QUALITY ATHLETICS PROGRAM The Purple and Gold Club Inc. was founded in the early 1970's by Defiance community members who wanted to do something extra for all the student-athletes at Defiance College. Since its inception, the club has continually grown and has exceeded 225 members. The club serves to provide both financial assistance and personal support for the entire athletics department.
