C.W. POST FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME

2010 PIONEERS

For more than a quarter-century, some of the greatest C.W. Post football players in the school’s history have been acknowledged for their efforts with enshrinement in the Pioneer Football Hall of Fame. In 1993, the 1973 Lambert Trophy winning unit received the unique honor of having the entire squad inducted to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their achievement. The qualifications for election into this distinguished group are as follows: a player having a standout career during his time at C.W. Post, an administrator who has made significant contributions to the sport, a contributor to the program, or a former player who has distinguished himself in his professional field after graduating from C.W. Post. This September, a new class will be selected, and will join the memorable group of individuals listed below who each made their mark during nearly a half century of Pioneer football.

C.W. Post Athletic Hall of Fame

The C.W. Post Athletic Hall of Fame, which was founded in 2005, honors those who have contributed significantly to C.W. Post’s athletic program. Inductees are recognized for their contributions as individual athletes, as members of a team, or for other unique contributions. Individuals or teams are eligible for nomination if they have been named “All America,” have won an NCAA national championship, set a world record, led the nation in a recognized statistical category, succeeded as a professional athlete, participated in the Olympic games or otherwise distinguished themselves and the campus through athletic achievement. Eligibility begins five years after the athlete has graduated. C.W. Post coaches, administrators and staff are also eligible for consideration. The inductees are chosen by a Selection Committee of at least eight members who include C.W. Post coaches, alumni and Athletic Department staff.
