futuragri Product of Italy
Futuragri is situated in FOGGIA, in the province of Puglia. It is the largest producer of canned tomatoes in Italy, accounting for 7% of total production.
Futuragri produces from seedlings to the final canned product on the farm. Similar to producing wine, the tomatoes are picked at the optimum time, and because the cannery is on the farm, all tomatoes are processed within 6 hours of being picked. This optimises flavour and minimises the need for ph balancing additives. The cans are of the highest quality. They are lined with enamel to prevent any corrosion of tin or leaking of BPA (bisphenol-A). Enamel is a nonreactive surface.
Tip – tomatoes are rich in LYCOPENE, a natural antioxidant that helps to fight free radicals
